Liu Bocheng was bedridden in his later years, and made a request to the organization, and if he did not agree, he would not enter the Babao Mountain

author:Ye Gong said history

In 1976, the body of General Liu Bocheng, a generation of "military gods" who made the enemy feel frightened, once again conveyed a dangerous signal. Many party and state leaders have gone to the hospital to visit him, and Hua Guofeng, an important leader of our country, is also among them. At this time, Liu Bocheng was blind in both eyes, and he tightly held Hua Guofeng's hand, and then made his own request to him.

Before Hua Guofeng could reply, Liu Bocheng further forced him to say: If I don't agree, then I will never enter the Eight Treasure Mountain after I die. So what exactly is Marshal Liu Bocheng's request? Why is he so insistent?

This request is actually about Deng Xiaoping, liu and Deng have fought side by side for thirteen years, and their achievements can be said to be known to everyone. From the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to the War of Liberation, the two men cooperated and led the plaster of our People's Liberation Army to win one victory after another.

Therefore, in order to express his support for Deng Xiaoping, Liu Bocheng said to Hua Guofeng: "After I die, there is only one request, that is, to let Elder Deng preside over my memorial service, and if I do not agree to my request, I will not enter Babao Mountain and let my family throw my body into the wilderness." " requirements

In 1958, although Liu Bocheng nominally held an important position in the central government, he actually had no military power. But as a generation of famous marshals, Liu Bocheng has always been concerned about national affairs.

After the outbreak of the "Cultural Revolution" in May 1966, he hurriedly invited Mr. Chen Yi to his home to inquire about the situation. When he heard a knock at the door, Liu Bocheng asked his family to help him to the door, and then asked: Is It Elder Chen who has come? Tell me, what's going on in town? I heard that the Ministry of Defense has been greatly affected, which is quite serious. What was the situation with Deng Xiaoping?

Chen Yi told Marshal Liu Bocheng: Deng Xiaoping is in a very bad situation at present, and being framed by Jiang Qing for taking the bourgeois reactionary line for him seems to be the end of a catastrophe. When Liu Bocheng heard this, he trembled. But the head of the heart said, "What should I do?" How did this come about? ”

Soon after, Liu Bocheng learned that Deng Xiaoping had been overthrown and exiled to Jiangxi, and he was so sad that he basically did not like to go out during ordinary hours, but occasionally went to Chen Yi's house to sit and chat.

On January 6, 1927, Chen Yi died of illness. This bad news reached Liu Bocheng's ears, and Liu Bocheng suffered a huge mental blow and fell into the grief of tearing his heart and lungs.

Liu Bocheng talked with Chen Yi

At this time, Liu Bocheng was already 80 years old, and his eyes were completely invisible. The pain of losing a good friend and the physical illness made the old man, who was already dying, even more haggard; the loneliness looked painful.

With the help of his secretary, Liu Bocheng came to the hospital. Before entering the door, the marshal who had once been in the limelight shed tears. He hated that he couldn't see with his eyes, and he couldn't see the body of his good friend Chen Yi with his own eyes.

He slowly approached the edge of the bed, leaned down, caressed Chen Yi's body with his hand, and shouted over and over again: "Mr. Chen, I liu blind man can't do without your crutch!"

Chen Yi was gone forever, and Liu Bocheng missed his partner Deng Xiaoping even more. His body was gradually failing, and Deng Xiaoping was also rising and falling in turmoil. In 1975, Liu Bocheng's life was completely unable to take care of himself, and he could only lie in bed. And just when he was weak, he learned that Deng Xiaoping had been knocked down again.

So when Hua Guofeng came to visit him in 1976, he made that request to Hua Guofeng. Liu Bocheng's last wish did not fail, nor did his support for Deng Xiaoping, the people finally chose Deng Xiaoping, and his funeral was indeed presided over by Deng Xiaoping.

On October 7, 1986, Marshal Liu Bocheng died in Beijing at the age of 94. After 7 days, the central government held a farewell ceremony for Liu Bocheng in the grand hall.

On October 16, Liu Bocheng's memorial service was held in the Great Hall of the People, presided over by Deng Xiaoping

That morning, Deng Xiaoping rushed to the auditorium with his family for the first time. Deng Xiaoping bowed three times to Liu Bocheng's body, and then stood in front of the spiritual hall for a long time, he was devastated and left with tears of affection.

On October 16, Liu Bocheng's memorial service was held in the Great Hall of the People, and many high-ranking officials came here to mourn this great man who made great contributions to the country. Deng Xiaoping presided over the memorial service as promised! Time is fleeting, and what crosses Comrade Deng Xiaoping's mind is the comradeship of the two people who have lived and died together for decades.

Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping actually have many differences in age, personality, and hobbies, but these do not affect the harmony between the two in the slightest. Both of them belonged to the dragon, and Liu Bocheng was exactly one round older than Deng Xiaoping. Later history also proved that it was these two real dragons that profoundly influenced and changed the face of China.

Deng Xiaoping, political commissar of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army, took a group photo with Liu Bocheng, commander of the division

The two men had known each other during the Red Army's Long March, and the real intimate cooperation began in 1938. That year, Liu Bo assumed the role of commander of the 129th Division, and Deng Xiaoping accepted orders from the Central Military Commission to serve as his political commissar.

The cooperation of the two people makes the 129th Division like a sharp sword, full of light. It was this kind of cooperation that made the 129th Division more and more frustrated, and it was this kind of cooperation that made the Jinji-Hebei Luyu base area grow stronger and stronger, and it was this cooperation that made Liu Deng's army famous in China.

Fighters often describe the two old leaders this way: Deng Xiaoping's political commissar was decisive and crisp, like a stern teacher. Master Liu Bocheng was amiable and amiable, like a loving father who gave warmth to people. The soldiers' evaluation was not wrong at all, which was the manifestation of the work style of the two men.

And the support of the two people also seems to have become a tacit understanding. For example, as long as it is something that happens after Deng Xiaoping expresses his position, Liu Bocheng will certainly say: Do as the political commissar asks; deng Xiaoping will certainly say that if Liu Bocheng expresses his stance, Deng Xiaoping will also say: Do as required by the division commander. This kind of harmony can be implemented to the end from major policies to trivial matters of life, and it can be said that the tacit understanding and understanding of the two people is really valuable.

The care of two people is always reflected in the details. For example, Deng Xiaoping would often remind the staff, especially the comrades working in the headquarters: The division commander is old, his eyes are not very good, and he has been injured in the battlefield before, and his body has not healed, so if there is something, he will find me and the chief of staff, and then ask Commander Liu to make a decision on big things.

In 1940, when the Hundred Regiments War was fought, the soldiers also saw a very touching scene: the headquarters at that time was blackouted due to the Japanese bombing, and everyone could only work under the faint candlelight, because Liu Bocheng's eyes were not good, Deng Xiaoping carefully lit the candle, Liu Bocheng's finger followed the map, looking for the place name, Deng Xiaoping held up the candle on the side, following Liu Bocheng's finger movement. Where Liu Bocheng's fingers stopped, Deng Gongdu all spoke out loud, although it was only a small matter, but the tacit cooperation between the two made many fighters moved by their deep revolutionary friendship.

Scenes like the Liberation War abound. Especially during the Battle of Huaihai, Deng Xiaoping, Liu Bocheng, and Chen Yi often discussed and studied strategic arrangements together.

Deng Xiaoping once said to the two leaders: Two bosses, I am a little younger than you, and my health is better than yours, so I am also more valuable on duty at night, and the trivial work will let me allocate more points. Liu Bocheng and Chen Yi both smiled, and then Chen Yi said: We agree to your request, but we also have to go all out. Liu Bocheng also added: Although we are old, we must work harder.

People's lives are always faced with division and integration, and the same is true between Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping. Although the cooperation between the two was seamless, the two sometimes faced separation because of the needs of revolutionary work. Each time they were separated, the two would miss each other and worry about each other's safety.

Liu Deng's army leapt into the Dabie Mountains

In 1942, Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping were separated on the Taihang Mountains because Deng Xiaoping received instructions from the Central Military Commission to go to Taiyue, Zhongtiao Mountain, and other places to carry out inspection work. Liu Bocheng sent him all the way and did not want to part for a long time.

When Deng Xiaoping was far away, Liu Bocheng told Chief of Staff Li Da in every way: Now that the enemy is sweeping up very frequently, the safety of Political Commissar Deng must be guaranteed, and Liu Bocheng asked the Chief of Staff to inform Deng Xiaoping in advance of the several local base areas that Deng Xiaoping was going to pass through, so that they would report Deng Xiaoping's tracks every day.

A few days later, Liu Bo received a telegram: Deng Xiaoping was going to pass through the key defensive areas of the Japanese army. He was very worried about this, so he asked the officers who followed behind him to rest, while he personally stood by the radio station, waiting for news from Commissar Deng.

It was a night of uneasiness, a night of fear. Finally, when the sky was about to dawn, he waited until the news that Deng Xiaoping had safely passed through the enemy-occupied areas, which made him feel comfortable, and then went to rest.

The difference between the two was most touching than the division of troops in Dabie Mountain in August 1947. We all know that Liu Deng's army leapt thousands of miles into the Dabie Mountains, like a steel sword straight into the heart of the enemy. But when they actually jumped into the Dabie Mountains, they also paid a terrible price. They faced the Kuomintang, which was several times more numerous than that, and the harsh environment of the time.

In 1947, Bai Chongxi established the Jiujiang Command headquarters and planned to besiege Liu Deng's army at Dabie Mountain, and Chairman Mao always paid close attention to the battle situation at Dabie Mountain and gave instructions: Liu Deng's army in Dabie Mountain must attract the Kuomintang troops to the past in order to crush the enemy's main offensive, so that our army will shift from passive defense to active attack, and Deng Xiaoping and Liu Bocheng will adopt a combat policy of coordinating the internal and external fronts.

The internal line is really played in the Dabie Mountains, the conditions are very bad, and it is also easy to be a pot end of the Kuomintang. So at this time, there was a debate about who stayed on the inside to fight. Deng Xiaoping demanded that he stay behind to fight the civil war, and Liu Bocheng went to Huaixi to command the campaign.

Deng Xiaoping believed that if he sacrificed himself, someone else could replace him, but if Liu Bocheng sacrificed, the army would be leaderless. And Liu Bocheng's body is not good in such a harsh environment.

In the great turning point of the movie, Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping once had a touching dialogue, Liu Bocheng said: Every time there is danger from the Taihang Mountain to the Dabie Mountain, you choose to stay.

Deng Xiaoping replied: Who made me younger than you, and my body was better than yours. Liu Bocheng choked up a little: If there is an afterlife, I must be younger than you. This scene touched countless people, but it is also a portrayal of the friendship between the two people.

On the day of parting, Deng Xiaoping braved the bad weather of wind and rain to bid Farewell to Liu Bocheng. The two of them were reluctant to get on the horse and walked forward while discussing. And so it went from trip to trip. Both of them discussed the various problems and dangers that the other side might encounter after the division of troops. The words are full of worries and concerns about each other.

Liu Bocheng knew that the enemy situation in Dabie Mountain was grim, our army was under heavy enemy siege, and if the enemy army found that our army had troops moving to the outer line, then Deng Xiaoping, who was fighting on the inner front, was very risky.

At the same time, Deng Xiaoping was also worried about Liu Bocheng's eyes, urging him to pay attention to protecting his eyes, and repeatedly instructed the comrades in the management office to prepare a kerosene lamp for Marshal Liu Bocheng. Unconsciously, night came. The two then turned on their horses and said goodbye to each other. As he walked, Liu Bocheng said to the comrades around him: If we are obstructed and the troops are scattered, you must return to the political commissar according to the same path.

After Liu Deng and The two separated, Liu Bocheng would repeatedly ask the guards every day: "Where is the political commissar now?" When was the contact made? What about the hostilities around him? Waiting for such a problem is almost worrying about Deng Xiaoping's safety every day.

In the end, with the cooperation of the internal and external lines of the Dabie Mountain army, Bai Chongxi's siege plan was completely crushed. After the victory in the Battle of Dabie Mountain, our army also finally turned into an offensive situation, which was the dawn of China's imminent victory. Although the feelings of the two are inseparable, their departure has had a great impact on the Chinese revolution.

In 195, Deng Xiaoping met with Liu Bocheng, He Long, and others at the Southwest Military and Political Committee

In 1950, after nearly 13 years of suffering and sharing, the two life-and-death partners had to be separated again because of their work. Liu Bocheng went to Nanjing to set up the Platon Military Academy, and in this work, Liu Bocheng worked diligently and diligently, and he could often be seen working overtime at night. Deng Xiaoping, on the other hand, went to the southwest to do construction.

During the separation, Liu Bocheng sent a photo of his youth to Deng Xiaoping, and the photo of him was heroic and cheerful. For Liu Bocheng's kindness, Deng Xiaoping silently received it, and treasured the photo as a treasure. Until the death of Marshal Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping still mentioned it at the memorial service.

This profound revolutionary friendship finally came to an end because of Liu Bocheng's death. As Liu Bocheng had requested, Deng Xiaoping presided over his memorial service. In the face of the departure of his good friend, Deng Xiaoping burst into tears and was heartbroken.

Life has to be a confidant, and to die without regrets. I think the friendship between Liu and Deng must have left no regrets! What do you think of this deep revolutionary friendship? Welcome your attention and message, we will see you in the next issue!
