Wang Ping served as vice mayor of Zhoukou City, director of the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and in May 2020, he was appointed as the second-level police commissioner of the Henan Provincial Public Security Department.

According to the official resume, Wang Ping was born in March 1963 and served as the political commissar of the Nanguan Branch of the Kaifeng Municipal Public Security Bureau and the director of the Longting Branch. Since April 2003, Wang Ping has successively served as a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Kaifeng Municipal Public Security Bureau, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Kaifeng Municipal Public Security Bureau.
