Saeed, a well-known Sinologist in Egypt: Everything the CCP has done has made the people full of confidence in the future

"Only on the basis of correct cognition can readers better understand the real China, not the China of Western public opinion." For the significance of his own translation and publishing career, Ahmed Said, a well-known Egyptian sinologist and president of Hikmet Cultural Group, told the Global Times reporter. Saeed has been involved in Sino-Arab cultural exchanges for more than a decade, and his book "The Chinese Road: Miracles and Secrets" has been listed in Egypt's best-seller list. Recently, Said was interviewed by the Global Times to tell his own experience about the Chinese Communist Party in his eyes.

Talking about the situation when he first started working on cultural exchanges, Said told the Global Times reporter: "At that time, I found that there was a shortage of Translations on China in Egypt, so I hoped that I could translate some books about China, no matter which aspect. We have launched many tomes, such as "Fifteen Lectures on Chinese History" and "Interpreting china's Economy". ”

As more books have been published and covered in a wider range of fields, Saeed now hopes to provide readers in Egypt and the Arab region with more systematic and simpler content so that they can understand China more directly. He expects more people to form a correct understanding of China, "which includes the Attitude of the Chinese Government toward the People, the way it governs the country, and China's attitude and role in the world." In Said's eyes, the Chinese Communist Party has a strong ability to organize and call, "they have a clear plan for national governance, and they can complete the plan within a set deadline." He told the Global Times that everything the Chinese Communist Party has done has given the people confidence in the future.

Saeed's master's and doctoral degrees were both pursued at Ningxia University. He told reporters that he had seen with his own eyes how China had developed the northwest region. "It is better to teach people to fish than to teach people to fish." China's poverty alleviation and poverty alleviation work is not simply to give money to the people, but to adapt to local conditions, formulate policies according to the specific conditions of each region, and send experts and other personnel to the local area to help, so that people can learn skills to change their economic situation. ”

What can Egypt learn from the CCP's experience in governance and governance? "At present, about 1/3 of Egypt's population lives in poverty, and China's experience in poverty alleviation has formed a large number of written materials, and if we study and practice, I believe that the situation in Egypt will improve." Sayyid said that the CCP's management of the government is also worth learning, "how to make the people firmly support the development of the country, this is a test for every government."

Talking about where the resilience and durability of the CCP's governance come from, Said told the Global Times reporter: "Chinese good at self-examination. Just think, how can a political party that first calms down after encountering problems to analyze, pursue self-improvement, and is committed to sustainable development, fail to lead the country's development? Chinese never seeks speed, but seeks stability. In addition, the CCP's success stems from its "proximity to the people," that is, always putting the people first.

In recent years, some Western politicians have aggressively attacked China with prejudice. Saeed believes that the biggest misunderstanding of China in Western society at present is on the issue of human rights, "as long as people who have been to China can feel whether the West pays more attention to human rights or China."

"When I lived in Yinchuan, I was very shocked by the openness of local social governance." Saeed told the Global Times reporter that the Yinchuan government has a platform for serving the people, he once asked colleagues to help release relevant information after encountering some small problems, and got feedback on the same day. In his view, this is an example of the Chinese government putting the needs of the people first. "We judge how the rulers of a country are not by what they say to the outside world, but by the living conditions of its people. In China, I can walk outside at eleven or twelve o'clock at night, in some Western countries, is this okay? ”

Sayyid believes that some Westerners try to "demonize" the Chinese Communist Party because they are accustomed to their "sense of superiority" and "they need to find a reason for China's rapid development that they can't be against themselves, so they look for problems from the Chinese Communist Party... But the West underestimates the close ties between the CCP and Chinese people."

"I've heard about the 'Emperor's Expedition' incident before." Saeed said, "This generation of Young Chinese people is more open-minded, many people have studied, seen the outside world, and have a more comprehensive understanding of China." Is the West really better than China, as it says it is? He believes that the answer is to see how young people in China now support the country.
