Scientific name: Frontal spotted butterflyfish
Living in the sea area with lush coral reefs, the frontal spotted flounder is elegant and loved by people, and is an enduring ornamental fish in the sea.
Geographical distribution
It is found in the western Atlantic Ocean, from Florida to Brazil via the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea (including the Antilles, the Coast of South America and the St. Paul's Reef in the Atlantic Ocean of the Middle East).
Habitat
The active water depth is 1-70 meters. It usually inhabits reef areas near the coast alone or in pairs, preferring reef areas with sea whips, sea fans and stony corals.
Posture characteristics
The body is elliptical and very laterally flattened. The yellow-green body is blue in the front half of the ventral surface; the cheeks, pectoral fin, ventral fin, and caudal fin are yellow, and there is a blue spot at the base of the pectoral fin; there is an eye-shaped spot on the forehead, the outer ring is blue, and the inner circle is dark blue spots; the dorsal fin and the posterior end of the fin are elongated and have a blue edge. Fish body color varies depending on lighting conditions or different stages of the growth period.
Habits of life
Swim alone or in pairs between sea fans and reefs. Water that can adapt to different salinities, can be reared, and is very aggressive when placed in the aquarium.
