Also known as squid, cuttlefish, squid. Although it is customary to call him a fish, it is not actually a fish, but a marine cephalopod mollusk.
It mainly lives in shallow waters along tropical and temperate coasts, and often migrates to deeper seas in winter. Because of the ink sac in its abdominal cavity, it is called "cuttlefish".
Habits of life
Cuttlefish are divided into two parts: head and carcass. There are five pairs of wrists at the front of the head, four of which are shorter, each with four rows of suction cups on the wrist, the other pair of wrists is very long, and the suction cups are only at the top; the carcass part is slightly flattened, oval, grayish-white, and the flesh fins are narrower, located on the full margins on both sides of the carcass, separated at the end, and a dorsal bone in the center of the dorsal flesh. Predator ferociously with tentacles, feeding on krill, sardines, silver mandarin fish, small male fish, etc. It has the characteristics of nighttime light,group travel,painlessness and red-loving.<

Cuttlefish are benthic fish that inhabit the bottom of the sea and will chase after prey in real time. During the day, cuttlefish mainly move in nearshore sand and gravel positions, and at night they swim to a place with lights to catch small fish and shrimp. Boat fishing or pier fishing is better. Equipment selection
There are rods specifically for cuttlefish and squid, such as squid rods. With a 2000 type spinning wheel, according to the individual size of the cuttlefish, you can use pe lines of about 0.6-2, and a section of carbon wire can be added to the front as a precursor. The bait is mainly made of bait wood (false shrimp), cuttlefish body shape can be selected about 3 bait wood for fishing, and when catching large cuttlefish, you can use about 3.5 bait wood.
How it works
Cuttlefish live close to the seabed every day, so if you are fishing for cuttlefish during the day, the bait thrown naturally sinks to the bottom in a 45° angle to the water surface. When the water is running fast, add lead to the head of the bait to make it sink into the water faster and more naturally. When the bait wood sinks to the bottom of the water, do not immediately raise the pole, wait for 5-10 seconds, if there is no reaction to gently raise the pole to let the bait wood sink again. Trolling or jump fishing can be used, the latter being the best.
The biggest difference between cuttlefish fishing and catching other Lua species is that instead of feeling the cuttlefish holding the bait by the sensation of the rod, look at the changes in the fishing line. Because the cuttlefish will rush forward to embrace it with soft tentacles when it sees the prey, the fishing line will have a slight feeling of falling, and at this time, do not raise the rod immediately, because the cuttlefish foot is thick and hard, and the rod that is too fast will cause the cuttlefish to break free when the line is closed. Only after letting him hold the bait for about 5 seconds will he raise the rod fiercely and ask him to come ashore. After the cuttlefish is hooked, it should be lifted upwards immediately, pulled at a steady speed, and cannot be relaxed until it is dragged close to the surface of the water and fished with a net. After picking up the cuttlefish, don't immediately go near to unbuckle the bait, and prevent his ink jet from staining his clothes.
Cuttlefish to ink method
After the cuttlefish is hooked, it is generally not startled by inkjet. If there is no net, you can gently wrap him in a towel, carefully unbait him and gently put it in the bucket, and after a while he will die quietly due to lack of oxygen.
