Tropical fish farming is done from 6 aspects, and since then, the family has no longer feared dead fish

Tropical fish are fish that inhabit rivers, lakes and oceans located between the isotherms of the lowest surface water temperature of 20 °C in a year. Tropical fish are very diverse, with about 500 species available for family rearing. They have the characteristics of different sizes and bright colors, and they can indeed be pleasant to cultivate at home and decorate the family environment. So how do you raise tropical fish?

1. Pick the right fish tank

The size of the fish tank needs to be determined according to the actual situation, such as the location of the fish tank, the number of fish species and the number of fish to be comprehensively considered, in the case of local space permitting, you can appropriately buy a larger fish tank, so that the space for tropical fish activities is large and easier to raise. In addition, the fish tank must have a filtration system, the larger the filter tank, the better.

2. Choose your favorite fish species

As mentioned at the beginning, there are 500 species of tropical fish that can be raised and watched by families, so which one is the right one to choose? If you can't see beautiful tropical fish, you buy it back and put it in the fish tank, which is a mistake that beginners can make. The capacity of the fish tank is limited, and the density of stocking is too large to feed. Generally, every 10 litres of water is cultured with a tropical fish about 50 mm long. When purchasing, you should choose your favorite tropical fish such as high dorsal fin, swimming lively, tail fin unfolding, clear body without miscellaneous spots, no defects, and no back.

3. Control the appropriate temperature

Tropical fish, as the name suggests, the water temperature of fish farming can not be low. The most suitable water temperature for tropical fish is 24 °C -28 °C, of course, different species of tropical fish adapt to different water temperatures, but the water temperature control at 24 °C -28 °C is absolutely not wrong.

4. Maintain good water quality

Tap water used at home contains chlorine, so tap water must be left for 3 days before it can be used. The water is acidic and alkaline, and can be tested on pH dipsticks, with a pH of 6.0-7.8 as the most suitable for freshwater aquaculture. When changing water, pay attention not to change all, change too much water, sudden cold and heat. Generally, no more than one-third of the volume of tank water is sucked out at a time, and the dirt is sucked out from the bottom. Water should not be changed frequently, and should be limited by whether the water quality becomes turbid.

Dried feed is mostly made from rice bran, flour and fish and shrimp flour or egg yolk powder, which is available on the market. Fresh bait includes blood worms, frilling worms (commonly known as red worms), water fleas, sword water fleas, ciliate grasshoppers and so on.

When sick fish and dead fish are found, they should be fished out in time and properly handled, the sick fish should be isolated and treated, and the fish tank should be discarded with old water, disinfected and replaced with new water. At the same time, the same school of fish and tools that the sick fish have been exposed to are disinfected. Commonly used disinfectants are: 8% copper sulfate, 20% potassium permanganate.
