In terms of fruits and vegetables, Zhangpu County has seven modern characteristic fruit production demonstration bases such as green dates, dragon fruit, bale, passion fruit, star fruit, bayberry, late-ripening lychee, etc., and five 10,000 mu of pollution-free vegetable production demonstration films such as green onions, white stone radish, white cauliflower, beans and carrots, which is a demonstration county of pollution-free vegetable production base in China and the first vegetable base county in Fujian Province.

In order to promote the development of the pufferfish industry, Zhangpu County pioneered the ecological polyculture mode of pufferfish, shrimp and variegated clams (flower clams), which has been proved to be the most ecological, healthy and very mature breeding technology, which has been widely promoted and demonstrated along the coast of Fujian. In 2018, Fujian Senhai Food Co., Ltd. obtained the double certification of the river pufferfish source breeding filing base and the river pufferfish source processing and filing base, which means that the pufferfish has since had an "identity card" and achieved a breakthrough of zero in the river pufferfish source filing base south of the Yangtze River.
In order to support the benign development of the pufferfish industry, the Zhangpu County Party Committee and County Government formulated the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Pufferfish Industry in Zhangpu County", formulated short-term and long-term development goals, and formulated preferential policies to encourage the development of the pufferfish industry.

In the prevention and control of pufferfish risk, on the one hand, the risk monitoring of pufferfish toxin has been carried out, and the tracking and monitoring of pufferfish toxin has been carried out in 2013, and the toxicity monitoring of farmed pufferfish (double-spotted oriental pufferfish and chrysanthemum oriental pufferfish) has been jointly carried out with the Shanghai Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. In the key breeding areas of pufferfish, samples of pufferfish are collected at fixed points and sent to Shanghai for paralytic neurotoxin detection, testing the toxin content, tracking the proportional relationship between the growth rate of pufferfish and the toxin content, doing a good job of theoretical basic research for the market sales of pufferfish, and laying a solid theoretical foundation and technical support for the characteristic industry of pufferfish in the county. On the other hand, the construction of a traceability system for pufferfish is implemented. It has laid out 6 traceable units for pufferfish, included in the supervision of the "one product and one code" system, tracked the flow of pufferfish seedlings, breeding, input management, sales, processing, etc. in the whole process, improved the three records, and provided a theoretical reference basis for gradually liberalizing the local characteristics of breeding chrysanthemum and double spots.
