Recently, the list of selected projects for the 2024 Hunan Provincial Literary and Artistic Talent Support "Three Hundred Project" was announced, and the photographic album "Memories of the South Gate of Yongcheng ·" was selected by Qin Wenle, a member of the Chinese Photographers Association, a member of the Hunan Literary and Art Talent "Three Hundred Project" of the Hunan Literary and Art Talents, the chairman of the Zhangjiajie City Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the chairman of the Municipal Photographers Association, Qin Shixiong, a member of the Chinese Photographers Association.
Zhangjiajie was originally known as Dayong, and Yongcheng is the name of Zhangjiajie City. "Memories of the South Gate of Yongcheng ·" is a documentary photography album with a span of more than 100 years. The author uses the lens as the pen, through 1229 precious images, a more complete record of a century of pictures at the south gate of Zhangjiajie City, using light and shadow to depict the picture of the times of social changes, is a very historical document value and regional characteristics of the image documentary album. The album is divided into seven chapters, in addition to the 36 photographs by others, the other 1,193 works are the video works of Qin Wenle and Qin Shixiong since the 80s of the last century. In this work, Qin Wenle's shooting record spans more than 40 years. The first chapter of the album is Dayong a hundred years ago, through the precious historical photos collected and arranged by Qin Wenle, showing the scene of Dayong a hundred years ago, and reviewing history with images; The second chapter is the streets and alleys at the south gate, which completely records the streets and alleys of six lanes, including Nanzheng Street, Weiguan Lane, Guojiata, Benhe Street, Yanhe Street and Xianyu Lane along the river street, showing the layout of the streets and alleys at the south gate at that time. The third chapter is the architectural characteristics of the south gate, showing the unique architectural style of the old building at the south gate through close-ups; The fourth chapter is the livelihood of the South Gate, which records the business conditions of more than 100 businesses on the street before the demolition of the South Gate, and silently reproduces the business format, industrial characteristics and economic conditions of the South Gate at that time. Chapter 5 is the residents of the South Gate, the content is based on the household information registered in the notebook of the household registration manager of the South Gate area, and adopts the method of house-to-house shooting and editing, which completely records and presents the family environment and the fireworks atmosphere of the residents of the South Gate in a period of time, and confirms the brilliant changes of the development of the times from the side with the changes in the people's living conditions. Chapter 6 is those things on the old street, on the basis of recording, make full use of the lens to dig out the deeper wonderful moments and touching stories of the times, freeze those people and things on the street with the lens, use the details of the image to convey the emotions of the characters of the times, and turn the emotions of memories into pictures in front of you; Chapter 7 is demolition and removal, through a detailed record of the demolition process at the south gate, multi-dimensional display of the internal structure and detailed characteristics of the old building at the south gate, an all-round display of the value of the south gate architectural literature, with the image of the traditional architectural culture and the dedication of the people at the old south gate, reflecting the real scene of humanity.
The photo album of "Memories of the South Gate of Yongcheng ·" is a silhouette of Zhangjiajie photographers walking through history step by step, and it is also a powerful echo of Zhangjiajie's sonorous steps in the rapid development of the times, which will leave precious cultural materials and historical memories in the economic and social development of Zhangjiajie, and also add rich cultural connotation to the beautiful natural scenery.
"Memories of the South Gate of Yongcheng ·" is inscribed by Lu Yushun, president of the China National Academy of Painting, and is to be published by the China Photography Publishing House.
It is reported that in 2024, the selected projects of the "300 Project" for the support of literary and artistic talents in Hunan Province involve 12 art categories of literature, art, calligraphy, photography, music, opera, opera, film and television, and a total of 26 projects in the province have been selected.
