On October 23, 2020, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the China Academy of Opera, General Secretary Xi Jinping replied to the four generations of teachers and students of the National Opera, middle-aged, young and young, which made all the Chinese opera people feel encouraged and inspired. "Explore the true meaning of art in teaching and learning, and forge ahead with the original intention of art in serving the people." After the first anniversary, the China Academy of Performing Arts held a series of performances of teaching achievements to implement the spirit of the general secretary's important reply with practical actions. As a striking cultural "business card" of Chinese opera, Zhang Huoding Peking Opera Chengpai Art Heritage Center will present this series of activities with Ctrip's modern drama "Sister Jiang" and the traditional classic drama "Suolin Capsule".
Zhang Huoding Peking Opera Chengpai Art Heritage Center is based on the China Academy of Performing Arts, radiating the whole country, since the establishment of the workshop in 2016, it has recruited materials for the society, widely extended famous teachers, scientifically designed courses, and attached equal importance to both academic and moral and artistic. It has broken through the conventional education mechanism of xiqu academies and formed a new model for the cultivation of high-end opera performers in the new period.
"Drama depends on people acting, and art is passed on by people." In the past five years, the Zhang Huoding Peking Opera Chengpai Art Workshop has followed the basic laws of the inheritance and development of opera art, cultivated new talents with classic repertoire, and promoted teaching with stage practice. In addition, the opening of basic gong, kunqu opera and theory classes has further enriched the artistic accumulation of the students, and has also accumulated strength for their future career development. Nowadays, these trainees have become the key training objects and reserve talents of their colleges and groups, and they have a certain degree of social attention. It is reported that the outstanding students of the workshop will participate in the series of performances on behalf of Li Linxiao, Yin Chanjuan, Pan Yu, Zhai Qian and Yang Xiaoyang, and will take the stage at the Tianqiao Art Center on October 23 and 24.
"Suolin Capsule" is a masterpiece of Cheng Pai art collection, which is respected by the world for its profound theme intention, ingenious plot structure, and beautiful singing melody, and has become a traditional famous drama that has been performed on the Peking Opera stage for a long time; adapted by Mr. Yan Su himself, and the Peking Opera "Sister Jiang" premiered by Zhang Huoding, a second-level professor of the China Academy of Performing Arts and a descendant of the Cheng Pai, is the first modern drama of the Cheng School since the founding of New China. At that time, the students of the workshop will reproduce the classics in the artistic interpretation of tradition and modernity, so as to show their stage skills in shaping the characters and grasping the spiritual essence of the characters and the atmosphere of the times. It is worth mentioning that the "four beams and four pillars" of the two performances are all performed by the famous Peking Opera masters of the three troupes of the National Peking Opera Theatre, outstanding young actors and outstanding young teachers of the China Academy of Performing Arts, although they are now different in units and identities, but they have the same and resounding name - "National Opera People". No matter where you are, once the order is given, it quickly forms a group, supports the younger generations, and is willing to be a ladder, which shows the spirit of "passing on the help" that the opera people have inherited.
