Ten years after producing expedition boats, Axopar Boats is entering a new realm of electrification. The popular Finland shipbuilder, which has sold more than 6,000 boats worldwide over the past 10 years, has just launched a new sub-brand called AX/E, focusing on high-performance electric yachts.

Named AX/E 22 and AX/E 25 respectively, the two first models combine Axopar's signature elegance and high-quality craftsmanship with Evoy's cutting-edge electric propulsion technology to provide owners with a luxurious, emission-free sailing experience.
Jarkko Jämsén, chief designer at Axopar, said in a statement: "We wanted to create something truly exciting, allowing boats to both inspire and protect the environment we explore. "The AX/E reflects Axopar's commitment to pushing the limits of what's possible on the water."

The two new yachts, which made their debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival this week, both feature an advanced electric propulsion system from Norway electric engine manufacturer EVOY. Both are also equipped with a sturdy deep V-shaped hull of the same genus as the Axopar.

The 22-foot AX/E 22 is powered by a 63 kW battery and an Evoy Breeze Breeze Edition 120+ hp outboard, which produces more than 120 hp for a top speed of 36 knots and a range of more than 50 nautical miles at low speeds. This model is slower and ideal for coastal day trips. Optimized for high-speed performance and slow cruising, the AX/E 22 is designed to satisfy those looking for thrills without sacrificing sustainability. The state-of-the-art 63 kWh battery system ensures optimal energy efficiency and fast charging for longer stays on the water.

The larger 25-foot AX/E 25 is equipped with two 126 kWh batteries and a more powerful Evoy Storm Edition 300+ HP outboard, capable of producing more than 300 horsepower, a top speed of over 50 knots, and a range of up to 60 nautical miles at low speeds. The 126 kWh dual battery setting provides longer battery life and faster charging. Whether it's an inshore expedition or an adventure on the high seas, this yacht offers impressive acceleration and range, allowing owners to push the limits of adventure beyond traditional speedboats in a high-performance, zero-emission way.

Orders for the AX/E series are open now for delivery in early 2025. The AX/E25 has a suggested retail price of €234,000 (about $259,000), while the AX/E22 has a suggested retail price of €133,500 (about $147,000).
