Cosmopolitan Yachts is an emerging Spain yacht manufacturer specializing in the design and construction of custom aluminum catamarans. The company has taken the opportunity of the Cannes Yachting Festival to launch a 38-metre catamaran superyacht with solar-hybrid electric propulsion, which combines innovative engineering, sustainable technology and luxury configurations.
Dubbed the "miracle of luxury yachting", the new catamaran is called the Cosmopolitan 125 and is the largest model in the Cosmopolitan multihull motor yacht range, while being cleaner and more efficient on the high seas than a similarly sized conventional diesel-powered yacht. The Barcelona-based shipyard has only been in the industry for about three years, but has already made a name for itself with its innovative catamarans equipped with efficient electric propulsion systems.

With a sleek, modern design that combines aesthetic appeal with a high-performance and solar-powered hybrid electric propulsion system, this new zero-emission yacht demonstrates the shipyard's commitment to pushing design boundaries, adopting sustainable practices and setting new standards for eco-friendly boating.
This new catamaran is made of lightweight marine aluminum, which ensures greater strength and recyclability. It has an elegant, modern look, superior handling and efficiency, and like the previous models in the company's product line, it also has a helipad characterized by powerful, muscular lines and large areas of glass.
However, the main focus of the design is on sustainable luxury, and in addition to the latest green technologies such as the superior environmental performance of the unrivaled solar-hybrid electric propulsion system and transatlantic range, the catamaran is also built with eco-friendly internal materials. While the exact specifications have not yet been revealed, the shipyard says the catamaran can sail through the ocean without emissions at a cruising speed of 10 knots.
The Cosmopolitan 125 has an internal volume of up to 500GT and nearly 6,500 square feet (603 square meters) of deck space. One of its standout features is the next-generation fully configured beach club, which the shipyard describes as a floating haven. The large foldable terrace extends directly to the water, a feature that transforms the boat into a private beachfront retreat where guests can bask in the sun, enjoy seamless water access, or simply rest and enjoy the surrounding scenery.
The interior is designed to provide the highest level of comfort and luxury. The shipyard said the living quarters were filled with "state-of-the-art facilities and luxurious finishes". The expansive layout includes four VIP cabins, a master suite with a private terrace, three crew cabins and a captain's cabin. Guest accommodation is spread across the lower level and main deck, while the master suite can be located on the main deck or bridge deck, a one-of-a-kind space that offers privacy and stunning views for the ultimate in luxury.
Crew quarters are located on the lower deck, as well as a crew dining room, galley and laundry. Expansive panoramic windows are key to the boat's design, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces, providing stunning sea views for those on board.
The main deck is a large salon with a TV and games area, while the upper deck is equipped with a huge dining area and bar. A second bar and gym is located on the lower deck. The open-air lounge area is located at the bow and stern, while the helipad is located on the top deck.
