Background and purpose
At present, all localities are actively cultivating and developing emerging industries, actively building high-quality industrial space, and helping industrial development. However, we must also be aware that the characteristics of different industries are different, and the space requirements of different industrial chains in the same industry are also different, so they need to be classified and designed. Especially with the support of new technologies such as intelligent manufacturing and industrial Internet, great changes have taken place in product research and development, production processes and processes, warehousing and logistics. Therefore, it is necessary to have an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the laws and characteristics of the new economy, new industry and new manufacturing in order to create a new industrial space that can be recruited, retained and developed.
Following the success of last year's Greater Bay Area "Industrial Upstairs" seminar, in order to promote cross-industry exchanges and cooperation, we will hold the "2024 Modern Emerging Industrial Park Planning and Engineering Design Seminar" in Suzhou from September 21 to 22. This conference will focus on industrial space planning, design and engineering technology topics such as robots, chips, new materials, energy storage, and biomedicine. At that time, experts from the fields of industry, design, technology, development and operation will be invited as keynote speakers to analyze industrial characteristics and space adaptation needs from R&D, pilot test, production, logistics and other links, and discuss the iterative path of industrial space. At the same time, this meeting will also carry out exchanges and discussions on the topic of "industrial upstairs" in the Yangtze River Delta region.

We are now formally inviting relevant personnel from industry and information bureaus, industry promotion bureaus, industrial real estate development and operation enterprises, architectural survey and design units, scientific research institutions and other units across the country to participate in this event to exchange and discuss the planning, design, development and operation of emerging industry space products.
Keynote speaker
Li Jie holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Tianjin University and an executive MBA from Peking University. He has successively served as the designer of China Electronic Engineering Design Institute and the deputy general manager of its subsidiary, Aoyi Architectural Engineering Design Co., Ltd., and the executive general manager of Yichuang International, a subsidiary of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Construction Engineering Group. He is currently the general manager of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Construction Engineering Science and Industry Group Design Consulting Co., Ltd. He has rich experience in architectural design and engineering management of high-tech industries, and has won many national, provincial and municipal awards. Mr. Li Jie is a member of the editorial board of the national standard "Code for the Design of Clean Workshops in the Electronic Industry" and the editorial board of the national standard "Fan Filter Unit (FFU)". He has published patents such as "A Drainage Pipe for Air Handling Units", "Analysis of Condensate Drainage Pipes for Air Handling Units", "Airflow Control in Physical and Chemical Laboratories", etc., and edited the monograph "Research and Application of Hoisting Technology of Prefabricated Building Prefabricated Components", and "Shenzhen High-quality Industrial Space Design Guidelines" for 20+8 strategic emerging industrial clusters with advanced manufacturing industry as the main body cultivated and developed in Shenzhen. In this meeting, Mr. Li Jie will analyze and explain the space adaptation of semiconductors, new energy and other industries based on specific cases.
Mr. Tang holds a Master of Architecture degree from Colombia University in New York City, United States, and joined the JJP team in 1994 as a project manager and associate manager in the design department. Since 2002, he has been based in Shanghai and Xiamen, and has been an adjunct professor at the School of Architecture of Xiamen University since 2012. In 2020, he became the host and was responsible for the planning and design of projects in mainland China. Over the past 30 years, he has participated in the design of more than 100 construction projects, covering a variety of building types such as residential, health care, education, R&D, industrial production, etc., especially in the field of R&D and industrial production facilities. Representative works of the park include: architectural design of Xi'an High-tech Huanpu Science and Technology Industrial Park, Hefei crystalline integration scheme and detailed design, MediaTek Wuhan R&D Center, and Taiwan Photon Source Accelerator Experimental Center.

Jiang Yujie is a registered architect in New York United States and a member of the United States Institute of Architects. In his more than 20 years of architectural career, he has been involved in multi-regional, cultural and functional projects, including corporate headquarters, R&D and production parks, mixed-use complexes focusing on urban renewal or environmental regeneration, residential and hotel. He believes that architects should develop thinking models and solutions across types and scales, and study the potential and opportunities of architecture and planning to address increasingly complex and challenging urban and climatic conditions on a contextual, functional and user basis. He believes that promoting environmental improvement, preserving and unearthing natural elements, and reconnecting the fractured human and natural environment should be the ultimate goal of every architect, and his own end. Xu Bingjun is the deputy general manager of Guangzhou Branch of China National Pharmaceutical Group United Engineering Co., Ltd. With 16 years of experience in biomedical engineering design, he has participated in and designed more than 200 pharmaceutical plants, and has a deep theoretical and practical foundation in the fields of local policies and special regulations for biomedicine, the whole pharmaceutical industry chain and popular tracks, and biopharmaceutical engineering design. He has long-term good cooperation with international engineering companies such as Citu (CH2M), Wood Engineering, Bien Engineering (PMG), C3 Engineering, etc., and is familiar with GMP at home and abroad, including China GMP, United States FDA, EUGMP, WHO, PICS and other regulations, focusing on serving high-end biomedical enterprises, such as ATMPs, Mab, XDC, vaccines, CDMO companies, etc. As an expert in the field of pharmaceutical engineering, Mr. Xu has participated in the compilation of industry standards such as "General Principles for the Design of Industrial Upstairs" and "Guidelines for the Design of "Industrial Upstairs" in the Biomedical Industry in Shenzhen.
Ho Zhe is a registered architect in the State of New York, United States. After graduating from Tsinghua University with a major in architecture, he went to Iowa State University in United States for further study and obtained a master's degree in architecture. He has served as a design director in Callison, NBBJ and other companies in United States; He is currently the Senior Vice President, Chief Architect and General Manager of TusDesign Group. Since then, he has led the design of many important industrial, commercial, industrial, school projects and landmark projects at home and abroad. With more than 27 years of experience in the design of integrated projects, outstanding international market expertise, strong innovative spirit and unique thinking in architectural design, he has presided over the design of many projects that have won domestic and foreign awards. In recent years, he has planned the book "Park Construction 4.0 - Practical Principles of Ecological Industry and City Planning and Design", and has lectured on the design theory of commercial and industrial parks at Tsinghua University, Fudan University and Zhixue College for many times.
Sun Wei is the founding partner and principal architect of WEICO Architects. He is a director of the Industrial Construction Branch of the Architectural Society of China, a director of the Pre-construction Planning and Post-evaluation Branch of the Architectural Society of China, a member of the Research Committee on the Internationalization of Chinese Standards, a member of the Architectural Design Committee of the China Association for Standardization, and a consultant of Westlake University. He has worked at Prof. Hans Kollhoff (Berlin, Germany), Herzog & de Meuron (Basel, Switzerland), and Hein Architects in Germany, and has been a partner of Hein China for many years. In order to devote himself to the development of original design in China, he founded Weico Architects in 2021.
