Based on its 26 years of experience in the workplace, GOA Elephant Design proposes the concept of creating a "dynamic field", aiming to activate a workspace that embraces diverse interactions. Guided by this concept, Xiao Elevator Industrial Park strives to build an industrial tourism demonstration base in the "Factory of the Future". ”

The third phase of Xiao Elevator Industrial Park is located in Linping National Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hangzhou, at the intersection of the provincial-level Chengdong Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Zone and the G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. The project is separated by a river from the first phase of the Xiao elevator plant on the west side. As the leading enterprise in the elevator industry, Xiao Elevator Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive elevator manufacturing service provider with the largest and most intelligent scale in the industry, with the largest and most intelligent single scale in the construction industry, led by the manufacturing of high-end escalators and the manufacturing of core components of escalators. Under the call of the policy of "intensive use of M1 land", the design adheres to the concept of "intelligent manufacturing of the future" to think about the spatial layout, organizes functional streamlines around the theme of "industrial tourism", and is committed to building a smart industrial community integrating production, learning, research, housing and business functions with the guidance of industrial Internet of Things manufacturing, organic integration of industry and city, and green and low-carbon development.

Functional compounding: Open diversified scenarios in the park
The site is divided into three blocks from south to north: a high-rise factory building with the headquarters office building as the core and employee living quarters, a central green belt and a large single-storey factory. The site planning conforms to the urban fabric, and the headquarters office and supporting facilities are arranged along the interface of the main cities to create an overall industrial atmosphere.

Different from the single functional demands of traditional office buildings or factories, the design is designed to penetrate the office space, industrial exhibition hall, future factory and employee living supporting space with an open attitude, and its comprehensive functional configuration covers multiple use scenarios such as production and research and development, office communication, industrial visits, social life, etc., to fully meet the diverse needs of enterprise employees and customers.

The towers on the south side are arranged in parallel and staggered, mainly including the headquarters office building, as well as high-rise staff dormitories and high-rise factories on the east and west sides. Along the street, there is the University of Theo (elevator training center) and a flagship store open to the public. Some of the podium blocks are interspersed and stacked with each other, and together with the high-rise buildings, they build a group-like urban image of the park.

Multiple streamlines: Promote the quality and efficiency of efficient industries
The focus of this case is how to reasonably connect the different functional streamlines in the headquarters office building, realize interactive integration, and give users a new office and visit experience. Through the connection between the east and west podiums and the main building, the internal space is shaped into a complex office experience center with clear flow lines and flexible layout, breaking through the uniform spatial form of traditional office buildings.

The first thing you arrive at is the headquarters office building, located in the center of the towers. The front plaza forms a buffer interface along the street that can be stayed, emphasizing the central green axis while connecting the lobby and reception center on the first floor of the interior, creating a natural access experience.

The exhibition experience unfolds in different levels of space. The headquarters office building is equipped with a test center and an industrial exhibition area, which is an important part of the visit. Visitors can also observe the production process of the product through the central corridor to the north side of the factory, and then return to the training center on the east side of the headquarters office, so as to present the whole life cycle of the product.

The office modules are arranged around a number of spacious and bright atriums, including more than four floors of business office areas and a rooftop corporate clubhouse with a roof garden, releasing open shared spaces for cooperation and exchange. Directly accessible via a lobby and two escalators, the conference center and multi-purpose ballroom on the west side support regular academic forums and industry seminars, with flexible space configurations to enhance the campus's adaptability.

Nature Infiltration: Shaping the "Industrial Park" Experience
The central green belt, located between the single-storey factory and the high-rise factory, is not only a natural site connecting the north and south of the park, but also a creative highlight link on the industrial tourism route. The architects cleverly integrated the company's products into the walking paths, so that the product experience was further enhanced during the comfortable and immersive tour.

Smart Manufacturing: A paradigm break for the "factory of the future".
The high-rise group on the south side adopts a combination of vertical glass curtain wall and metal aluminum panels, giving the façade a sense of order. The podium part of the office adopts a rich combination of blocks, with glass, aluminum panels and perforated aluminum panels overlapping to achieve a balance between simple and efficient architectural form and rich and flexible visual experience.

The large factory building on the north side is currently the largest single intelligent factory in the elevator industry. As a benchmark for the "Theo Factory of the Future", the design has made a breakthrough in styling. The wide eaves of the golden ceiling and the slender metal columns present a sense of suspension of the roof in a sharp contrast, and form a sheltered eaves on both sides of the factory to enhance the comfort of the factory.

The south façade facing the central courtyard is framed by aluminum profiles and a large area of floor-to-ceiling glass curtain wall, giving the main entrance of the factory an artistic prologue with the image of the hall, adding a sense of ritual to the visitor's experience.

At the same time, the plant has adopted a series of passive and active energy-saving measures to strive to achieve the goal of sustainable industry. The design of the opening fan and the air lou (ventilation skylight) at the top of the façade enhances the natural ventilation effect; The roof is the fifth façade, and its all-photovoltaic panels allow the building to be self-sufficient without relying on the city grid if necessary.
