Kunming Information Harbor News Reporter Yang Yan On May 26, the award ceremony of the second Yunnan Provincial Primary School Students Wildlife Painting Competition was held in Yunnan Wildlife Park, and 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 20 third prizes, 200 excellent awards and 10 excellent instructors were awarded on the spot.
The competition is jointly sponsored by Yunnan Wildlife Park and Bee Newspaper, with the theme of "Viewing Wild Animals and Painting Wonderful Nature", aiming to guide children in the province to get close to nature, protect wild animals, fully display themselves, let go of imagination, bloom children's hearts, and use the brush in their hands to paint the harmonious beauty of humans and animals.

Since the launch of the competition on January 1, 2018, after a three-month long collection, a total of 11,690 works from all over the province have been participated, with rich content, mainly showing the characteristics of wild animals and the harmony between animals. After the pre-selection of the participating schools, through the selection of the expert jury, there were 235 award-winning works, and 5 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 20 third prizes, 200 excellent awards and 10 excellent instructors were awarded on the spot. Each of the winning works and shortlisted works was displayed in detail in the painting gallery at the ceremony site, and children could see their own works at the scene.

At the award ceremony, the winners took to the stage to receive their own awards and prizes. Prizes include genuine ostrich eggs, collectible ostrich eggshells, cute animal star dolls, zoo card and nature class experience courses. Each child smiled and held their prizes, looking at their own paintings, very happy.

"The theme of my painting is 'Harmonious Coexistence between Man and Nature', there are three giraffes and a small child, they are playing happily", the first prize winner Wang Yuhan is from Panlong Primary School, in the second grade, "this painting was painted for a total of 8 hours".

After the award ceremony, the children who won the first, second and third prizes also participated in the nature classroom experience course specially provided by the Ministry of Science and Education of Yunnan Wildlife Park. In the process of experience, the children have a deeper understanding of the knowledge of wild animals, and have a new understanding and attitude towards the protection of wild animals.
The event site also invited the winners to paint wild animals and wonderful nature on the 100-meter-long scroll, expressing their love for animals and nature, and reflecting the harmonious coexistence between people and animals. The Ministry of Education of Yunnan Wild Animal Park teaches children to knock and dye plants on the spot, and uses the gifts of nature to increase their knowledge.
