Netflix is working on a non-DC and Marvel super-British comic adaptation of Jupiter's Legacy, based on Mark Millar's work.

Mark Millar is the screenwriter of the most popular American comic and comic adaptations of the past two years, including "The King of the Sea" and "Ace Agent". The original jupiter comic book was launched by comic book company IMAGE, and the anime adaptation of another superhero comic book by the company, Invincible Kid, is currently airing on Amazon, with a rating of 8.9 on Douban.
The Legend of Jupiter is a short comic strip, and the entire comic tells the story of Sheldon Sampson, an American who went bankrupt in the Great Depression and was in a slump when he and his friends found a god island and gained superpowers on the island that could save the world.
Sheldon then called himself an Utopian and formed a heroic alliance (or utopia) with several others. After a long time, the heroes are getting old, their children are beginning to take over, and the series will introduce how the heirs have to deal with the superhero legends created by their parents.

Josh Duhamin plays sheldon Sampson, an outsider. Filming epic adventures is nothing new to Duhamming, who has starred in four Transformers films and appeared in the game Call of Duty: World War II. He has also appeared in 35 films (including the voice of Two-Faced man in the upcoming animated film Batman: The Long Halloween) and several television series.
This time, he plays sheldon Sampson, an outsider, who is a superhero: he has a body that far exceeds the strength and resistance of ordinary people, can fly, can move at high speeds, and can emit rays in his eyes. For the past 90 years in the comic book world, The Outsider has been the leader of the Hero Alliance, the world's greatest superhero, adhering to an almost saintly code of conduct.

Josh Duhamin was interviewed by Den of Geek, and when asked if he had so much of a film experience and whether he was full of expectations for playing a superhero, Duhamin's answer was "not at all." He thinks he's too old (Duhamin was born in 1972) to play a superhero role anymore, but fortunately, the superhero is aging.
In the play, Sheldon became an outsider at the age of 30, and the main plot focused on 90 years later, which Du Haming believes is a considerable span, making him feel that the character has to shoulder the responsibility of the whole world in his 90-year superhero career. The experience of 90 years has shaken the faith of outsiders, and a new generation of heroes and original partners have begun to question the leadership of outsiders, which are the problems encountered by the characters.
Regarding the attractiveness of the characters and the series, Du Haming feels that he is very similar to the outsiders, very stubborn and insistent, and he also believes that the focus is that the show pays more attention to the problem of superhero families, in which the relationship between each person is out of order, which will be more attractive. The outsider is the strongest superhero, but he doesn't know how to deal with his 20-year-old daughter.
Duhamin has been a fan of Superman since he was a child, and this time he plays an outsider who is very similar to Superman, and when he first put on the alien suit, he felt that he had really become Superman.
"The Legend of Jupiter" will land on Netflix on May 7.
