【Ecological Protection】In the scorching summer, the Indochinese gray langurs gather in the stream to enjoy the coolness

In the Shanzhou Forest Farm and surrounding areas of Shidian, Yunnan Province, the Yunnan Provincial Green Environment Development Foundation, the East Himalayan Research Institute of Dali University, the Dali Branch of the Yunnan Provincial Forestry Survey and Planning Institute, and the Shidian County Forestry and Grassland Bureau used surveillance video to capture the pictures of the Indochinese gray langurs, a national first-class key protected animal, gathering in streams, taking refuge in the summer and enjoying the cool summer days.

In the surveillance footage, a thick tree trunk is straddled across a mountain stream, and a monkey crawls down the vine from the bottom to the top, and all the other body parts disappear in front of the camera except for a long tail wagging in the camera. At first, a monkey sat on the trunk, nibbling on the "picnic" in his hand, and after a while, four monkeys came one after another, sitting in an orderly row on the trunk to enjoy the shade.

In another surveillance footage, a mother monkey sits on a stone by the stream with her "baby" in her arms, and the clear water around her makes the mother monkey can't help but "drink". Except for a few small monkeys, the rest sat on the vines or on the branches, enjoying the coolness of nature in the dense forest with the sound of water.

The monkeys in this picture are not very quiet, sometimes jumping on the vines, sometimes chasing and fighting, and the creek has become a paradise for the monkeys to check in.

In this "brookside paradise", the Indochinese gray langurs forget the summer heat for a while and immerse themselves in their happy time. This stream not only brings them physical coolness, but also becomes a source of solace and joy for their souls. The stream side of Shanzhou Forest Farm witnessed the happiness and vitality of the Indochinese gray langurs, and also made us feel the magic and beauty of nature.
