Invited by the 24th Beijing International Music Festival, yesterday, she and bassist Huang Yong, guitarist Feng Chong and several other musicians and friends jointly brought the "Latin American Carnival" famous song concert.

The repertoire of this performance covers a very wide range of pop, blues, jazz and other styles, including highly sung songs such as "I Want You", "On the Shores of Baikal", "Childhood", and "Dear Daddy", which has been adapted by jazz, Puccini's opera aria. The small space and the number of visitors are not too large, which obviously gives Cheng Fangyuan more willingness and possibility to share.

Musicians, photographers, "life people", how does Cheng Fangyuan define himself today? "I still prefer musicians." However, Cheng Fangyuan felt that there was no need to label himself, "People's temperament is different at each age stage." Cheng Fangyuan's musical path is also changeable, originally a folk music student, she later became a household pop singer, embracing the image of guitar playing and singing deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Now, Cheng Fangyuan prefers jazz and Latin styles. "There's not that much chasm in music." This is chengfangyuan's personal talk. The musicians on the same stage were working with her for the first time, but during a few days of rehearsals, the collision of inspiration was direct and pleasant, "We didn't just run for one purpose, but we enjoyed the process very much." ”

Cheng Fangyuan also wants to change some of the outside world's prejudices against livehouse. "In the past, many people used to pursue grand and colorful things." When it comes to music, it seems that only glamorous evenings, huge stadiums, and elegant theaters are qualified places, and bars or livehouses are destined to belong to those who have fallen into loneliness. "In fact, livehouses are very necessary for singers and musicians, and they are very suitable for communicating with audiences." Cheng Fangyuan longed for the state of the famous singer and actress Barbara Streisand, and even after achieving high-profile achievements, Streisand was still willing to return to the bar to sing, which was the starting point of her music career.

The Red Pavilion allows Cheng Fangyuan to encounter the experience of singing livehouse for the first time.
