Two gold and one silver, this is the report card handed over by Hebei athletics veteran Mina at the 11th National Paralympic Games. This year is Mina's fifth appearance in the National Paralympic Games, and she is also one of the athletes with the most participation in the National Paralympic Games by the Hebei delegation, which is not easy for a 35-year-old veteran.

From "don't want to lose" to "normal heart" Veterans have a new growth

"In fact, today's game was quite tense, and I didn't have a bottom in my heart before the start."

This is a sentence that Mina said in an interview with reporters after the discus competition on October 24.

The main challenge for Mina in this competition came from Li Yingruo from Liaoning Province. In the recently concluded Tokyo Paralympic Women's Discus Competition, Mina won the championship, and the runner-up in the event was Li Yinggeng, while two days ago, in the National Paralympics shot put competition, Mina lost to Li Yinggrain by a slight margin of 5 centimeters, and it can be said that Li Yinggen, who is 11 years younger than Mina, is the strongest opponent in this Paralympic Games.

"Since returning from the Tokyo Paralympic Games, it has experienced a quarantine period of about January, during which there is a lack of systematic training, and the decline in status is more obvious." Mina said she had been training intensively for about ten days before the Paralympic Games, but recovered more slowly than for younger athletes.

The discus on October 24 exceeded Mina's pre-race expectations. In her last training session before the race, Mina's performance was around 35 meters, and rarely exceeded 36 meters. However, in the final, Mina's five effective results exceeded 36 meters, and finally won the championship with 36.83 meters.

"The discus finally won the first place thanks to the adjustment of the psychological state of the scene." Mina said that when I stepped on the field, my body relaxed and my mind was released, and I thought about shooting like usual training, and the final result was even better than when I was training.

Mina said that the biggest change in the national paralympic games compared with the four sessions is the mentality, after winning a project championship before, and then participating in this project competition will produce "do not want to lose" psychological baggage, pressure over the conference affects the results of the competition, this year after the baptism of the Tokyo Paralympic Games, the mentality is completely different from before, even if I encounter a strong opponent, I will also use my usual heart to face the pressure, turn the pressure into motivation, and win the game, I enjoy the process.

Ten gold medals at the Five Paralympic Games Behind the honor is hard work and dedication

Mina began training in athletics in February 2005 and in 16 years, she participated in five National Paralympic Games, achieving a brilliant record of ten gold medals.

Looking back on the 16 years of competition training, Mina can't help but sigh: "Practicing sports is a very hard thing, after practicing for so many years, I am actually used to it, and I am most afraid that because of the injury affecting the results, the pressure is quite large." But the pressure did not knock down a first-class athlete, but became her motivation to move forward.

Born in August 1986 in Xingtang County, Hebei Province, Mina was diagnosed with congenital cerebral palsy when she was two or three months old, but her parents did not treat her daughter as a disabled person, and paid special attention to cultivating her athletic ability. After becoming a professional athlete, with the help and encouragement of her family and coaches, Mina trained hard and improved rapidly. The first time she participated in the provincial paralympic games, she won a gold medal, and then, she participated in the National Para Athletics Championships held in Chongqing, winning three gold medals in the F37 women's javelin, discus and shot put; since then, she can basically get medals every time she participates in the competition.

At the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, Mina lived up to expectations, winning two gold medals in the F37/38 class shot put and discus, and both set world records; the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Paralympic Games shot put, discus champion, shot put and broke the world record; the 2012 London Paralympic Championships shot put and discus champion and broke the world record; the 2015 World Paralympic Championships in Doha, the discus, shot put champion, javelin runner-up, shot put three world records. At the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, Mina successfully defended the event with a score of 37.60 meters in the final of the women's discus F37/38 class, breaking the world record held by herself in the event...

Behind the countless honors is the effort and dedication that ordinary people cannot imagine. Since Mina became a sports athlete, especially during the competition, the general medicine did not dare to eat, afraid of doping, in 2016, she had an acute gastroenteritis, the whole person vomited very badly, the weight dropped from 83 kg to 73 kg, strength, physical fitness have been greatly affected, but Mina only played for three days, she returned to the training ground, gritted her teeth and insisted on training.

After completing all the schedules of this Year's National Paralympic Games, Mina said that if the country needs me and Hebei needs me, I will continue to participate in the competition, and now I want to give myself a leave of absence first, and then go to Beijing Sport University to complete my studies.
