Plaza del Torico. In the center of the old town of Teruel is a square called Torrico, in the center of which there is a fountain with a column, at the top of which there is a statue of a small bull, and the outlet of the fountain is also designed in the shape of a bull's head, and the star and the bull are the symbols of Teruel. It is said that in 1171, during the Moorish reign, the Christian kingdom was gradually advancing southward, and King Alfonso II of Aragon planned to build a city near the southern border of his kingdom to fortify his borders against Almohads. As they were advancing, they suddenly came across a large bull with a bright star shining above it. So the wise men and leaders of Aragon had an idea: let's use a bull illuminated by the stars to make the pattern of the city, and at the same time give it a name that has both the fairy spirit of the stars and the bull's spirit, the word bull is Toro in Aragonese, and the star that shines on the bull to fight is Actuel, and the combination of the bull's star becomes Toruel, which gradually evolved into Teruel. Piazza Torrico is also known as the Plaza de la Bull, and at the same time, the stars and the bull have become the symbols of the city of Teruel. Plaza Torrico is located at Plaza Carlos Castel, s/n, 44001 Teruel
