According to Thai media sources, with the completion of the second major adjustment of the Thai cabinet, the government is currently drafting a draft budget law for fiscal year 2025, with a total budget of 3.752 trillion baht, which is scheduled to enter the lower house of parliament in June 2024.
Fiscal year 2025 is considered to be the first year budget of the Pheu Thai government, with the Pheu Thai Party as the leading party and the other five coalition parties. Prime Minister Saitha has a central budget reserve of 95.3 billion baht for emergency or necessary use. The Pheu Thai Party has nine major departments, six of which are economic, two social and one security.
Among them, the Pheu Thai Party has a budget of 193.618 billion baht for the Ministry of Transport, 390.314 billion baht for the Ministry of Finance, 9.014 billion baht for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 6.447 billion baht for the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, 9.887 billion baht for the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, 7.348 billion baht for the Ministry of Commerce, 8.841 billion baht for the Ministry of Culture, 172.285 billion baht for the Ministry of Health, and 200.923 billion baht for the Ministry of National Defense.
