Hengjiang Ancient Town is a historical and cultural town located at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan and the Jinsha River tourism belt. In order to further improve the comprehensive service level of the scenic spot and create a high-quality tourist destination, the construction of the visitor center of the comprehensive transformation project of tourism infrastructure in Hengjiang Ancient Town has been progressing in an orderly manner in the past few days, and it is expected to reach the completion acceptance conditions in March 2025.

"The project site is undergoing pile foundation construction, with more than 30 on-site construction personnel, and the pouring of 54 piles has been completed, and the project is expected to reach the completion acceptance conditions in March 2025." Lai Huaxin, project manager of the comprehensive transformation of tourism infrastructure in Hengjiang Ancient Town, Sijian, Guangdong, told reporters.
In order to focus on protecting the cultural buildings of the ancient town, while continuously increasing the construction of tourism infrastructure and expanding the new space of cultural tourism, the comprehensive renovation project of tourism infrastructure in Hengjiang ancient town was launched in March this year and is currently progressing steadily as planned. The total investment of the project is about 153 million yuan, including three sub-projects, including Hengjiang Town Visitor Center, Hengjiang Town Renovation and Improvement, and Scenic Tourist Road. Among them, the visitor center project is located on the west side of Hengjiang Ancient Town, close to Henglou Bridge, with a total investment of 89.4765 million yuan, a total land area of 11,646 square meters, and a total construction area of 13,292 square meters. The overall design concept of the project is "Boat Traveling Landscape, Courtyard Hengjiang", which integrates the traditional Chinese courtyard, rich ancient town culture, architecture and surrounding environment, expresses the feelings of mountain, water and ancient town with modern concepts, and will be built into a characteristic scenic spot rich in local culture, forming a tourism service complex with distinctive characteristics and perfect functions.
Lai Huaxin introduced: "The construction of the comprehensive tourism infrastructure project of Hengjiang Ancient Town is a single multi-storey visitor center, with 5 floors above ground and 2 floors semi-underground. The main functions of the project construction are ticketing, exhibition, office, conference, reception, comprehensive culture, tourist souvenir shop, cultural square, ancient town square, parking lot and supporting facilities. ”

In recent years, Hengjiang Town has made great efforts to do a good job in the "antique" articles of the ancient town, and has successively won the honorary titles of "National 4A Scenic Spot", "Chinese Historical and Cultural Town" and "The Most Beautiful Ancient Town in Sichuan". There are 32 well-preserved courtyard houses built in the Ming and Qing dynasties in the ancient town scenic area, and representative buildings such as the Zhu family's residence, Xiao Mansion, and Bingchangxiang business have become the epitome of Hengjiang ancient town culture.

After the completion of the comprehensive renovation project of tourism infrastructure in Hengjiang Ancient Town, it will be built into an ecological tourist center integrating vehicle transfer, tourism consultation, leisure shopping and business reception, and is expected to receive more than 3,000 tourists per day, further demonstrating the unique cultural tourism scenery and humanistic charm of Hengjiang Ancient Town, and injecting new impetus into the development of tourism in Xuzhou District.
