The reporter learned from the Ministry of Education on May 13 that the General Office of the Ministry of Education and the General Office of the Ministry of Finance recently jointly issued a notice to deploy the implementation of the plan for special positions for school teachers in the rural compulsory education stage in 2024. According to the notice, in 2024, the country plans to recruit 37,000 teachers for the "Special Post Program".
The circular makes it clear that the central government will continue to provide salary subsidies to teachers under the "special post plan". From January 1, 2024, the salary subsidy standard for special post teachers will be raised, from 35,200 yuan to 38,800 yuan per capita in the central region, and from 38,200 yuan to 41,800 yuan in the western region.
