On August 21, 2023, after swiping Wang's circle of friends, Ms. Zhang asked the other party if she had bought a ticket. When she learned that Wang could get the "VIP ticket" that only the internal staff had, Ms. Zhang was moved and hurriedly asked Wang if the ticket could be sold.
"He said that his ticket was in the third row, and also said that the 'VIP ticket' can only be bought at the original price of 2,280 yuan for an infield ticket, and cannot be resold.
Ms. Zhang did not hesitate, because Wang's statement was contrary to what she learned about "Jacky Cheung's concert only has electronic tickets", but she couldn't bear Wang's repeated urging, and Ms. Zhang, who was afraid of missing the opportunity to meet her idol, still booked two tickets and transferred 2,280 yuan to Wang through WeChat as a deposit.
In the afternoon of the next day, Wang repeated his old trick, telling Ms. Zhang that she had tickets for three consecutive seats, and asked her to make a decision quickly on the grounds that the tickets were in short supply.
Ms. Zhang recalled that in the early exchanges, Wang has always been full of confidence, and kept telling her that as long as her friends want to watch the concert, he can help solve the ticket problem, "At that time, he described it very carefully, telling me that the tickets were in the same show as him, but they were in the back row, of course, the location was good." This time, Ms. Zhang booked a third ticket from Wang and paid a deposit at half of the ticket price, she didn't think too much, she just felt that Wang was "powerful" and could get such a difficult ticket.
Three days later, Wang asked Ms. Zhang for the remaining 3,420 yuan for the ticket, saying that he would now pay the money to a friend who helped him get the ticket. When Ms. Zhang asked if the ticket could be sent on the same day, Wang did not answer positively, and only replied with three words: "It can be sent out at any time." ”

After making the payment, Ms. Zhang was still immersed in the joy of being able to go to the concert with her friends, but as the opening date of the concert approached, this expectation was slowly diluted by uneasiness. Ms. Zhang, who had not received the ticket for a long time, began to inquire about the progress of the ticket from Wang, but Wang had already received the money, and the speed of replying to the message was obviously slower, and her attitude was very different from that of a few days ago, not only hanging up Ms. Zhang's phone, but also accusing Ms. Zhang of disturbing her daily work.
On August 28, when Ms. Zhang's request for a refund from Wang was refused, she proposed to call the police if she didn't give a ticket. In the afternoon of the same day, Ms. Zhang woke up from a dream, realized that she had fallen into a fraud trap, and came to the public security organ to report the case.

When Ms. Zhang transferred money to her WeChat, Wang repeatedly told Ms. Zhang her real name for real-name authentication, which was quite a "real-name fraud", and after getting the money, Wang and Ms. Zhang went back and forth for a long time, deliberately delaying time, thinking that the matter would not be resolved in the end, without considering the consequences and costs.
After receiving the report, the public security organs arrested Wang on September 6, Wang confessed to the crime of defrauding the victim Ms. Zhang of 6,840 yuan, and confessed that all the money had been used by him for personal consumption, and the next day, the public security organs returned all the recovered stolen money to the victim Ms. Zhang.
According to the relevant records of Wang's mobile phone, after deceiving Ms. Zhang, he posted a circle of friends again on September 2, asking WeChat friends who need to watch the concert to contact him as soon as possible, and also sent private messages to strangers on Weibo, asking if the other party is willing to go to the concert.
On November 9, 2023, the case was transferred to the Jianghan District Procuratorate for review and prosecution. After reviewing in accordance with law, the procuratorate found that Wang had defrauded others of property for the purpose of illegal possession, and that the amount was relatively large, and that his conduct had violated Article 266 of the Criminal Law, and that he should be investigated for criminal responsibility for the crime of fraud.
"In response to this case, the criminal suspect Wang truthfully confessed after arriving at the case, voluntarily pleaded guilty and accepted punishment, and his family also compensated the victim for economic losses of 2,000 yuan, and obtained the victim's forgiveness, and can be given a lighter punishment in accordance with the law, and it is recommended that he be sentenced to five months of criminal detention and fined." The prosecutor in charge explained. On December 14, 2023, the people's court adopted all the sentencing recommendations submitted by the procuratorate and rendered the above judgment.
