As an important ceremony before the Dragon Boat Festival, at the dragon ceremony on May 10, nearly 20 Heyang villagers arrived at the Sanshan Heyang Sluice on time, with the "321 ......" The villagers jumped into the water and started an "underwater battle" with the 37.3m old dragon.
After a year of "sleep", the dragon boat has been tightly linked to the silt, and if you want to start the dragon, you must first loosen the hull. After figuring out the position of the dragon boat, the villagers untied the fixed nets, ropes and wooden stakes, and gradually tried to lift the dragon boat to separate it from the silt in the river.
Subsequently, the villagers dragged the underwater hull and made a "tug-of-war" action, and the dragon boat was exposed little by little in such a "tug-of-war". Once the hull of the boat is fully surfaced, the villagers will further clean the mud inside the boat and carry out a series of repair and maintenance processes.
When it comes to "Cotton Creek", everyone will think of the Sanshan Cotton Creek Dragon Boat, which is known as the "Four Famous Ships" of the Pearl River Delta with Yanbu Old Dragon, Pantang Renwei and Panyu Shanxi.
As one of the "four famous ships" in the Pearl River Delta, Sanshan Mianxi Laolong has a long history. It is understood that the history of the Mianxi dragon boat can be traced back to the Southern Song Dynasty, when Chen Bohe (Zi Shixi), a native of Putian County, Fujian Province, was admitted to the Shidenke and went to Sanshan to open a village in 1224. Later, in 1316, his descendants built the Chen family ancestral hall that year, a big tree, after the clansmen discussed, the dragon boat was built with wood, the dragon boat was called "Mianxi", which was shared by Zhengjie Village and Heyang Village.
According to the plan, after the Sanshan Mianxi dragon boat "takes off", a "please dragon" ceremony will be held on May 26. As the highlight of the event, there will also be a dragon boat meal made by the villagers according to traditional customs.

Strolling under the Sanyan Bridge, Li Guisen, the inheritor of the old dragon culture in Mianxi, introduced the scenery around Heyang Village, an eastern district community, to Guichengjun. "In ancient times, one of the 'three mountains and eight views' of the bridgehead dripping water is here." He said, pointing to a boulder under the bridge. And Li Guisen is also the person in charge of the old dragon "Qilong" in Sanshan Mianxi.
"Three Mountains and Eight Scenes" refers to the kapok smoke tree, the dripping water at the bridgehead, the strange stone of the Xijiang River, the foot board of the sacred mountain, the fishing moon in the bamboo gang, the five trees with roots, the spring of the heart in the heart, etc.
The Sanshan Sanyan Bridge is located in Heyang Village and was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is 32.2 meters long, 3.4 meters wide and 5.5 meters high, with two piers and three holes, and is made of red sandstone, limestone and a small number of granite wall arches. Running east-west, the balustrades on both sides are carved with patterns, and the granite columns and red sandstone columns are arranged in question.

With exquisite design and high engineering quality, the Sanshan Sanyan Bridge is still one of the passages for villagers on both sides of the river, and its architectural scale and artistic decoration are the highest among the existing ancient bridges in the South China Sea. For the original purpose of the construction of the Three Eyes Bridge, it is difficult to verify due to the long history, but in the word of mouth, it still leaves a romantic story.

According to legend, there was no bridge on the river in Heyang Village, and a rich daughter wanted to marry from the other side of the river, so she proposed that her father must build a bridge here before she was willing to marry. The father really built a bridge over the river, and the daughter lived happily after getting married, and the bridge also facilitated the movement of people on both sides of the river.
In recent years, the relevant departments have continued to protect the Sanyan Bridge, and also treated the water bodies in the jurisdiction to "beautify" the living environment and create a beautiful village, so as to make the life of the neighborhood more comfortable.
"I've lived here for more than 40 years, and I've been training with my uncle since I was a child, and I have a lot of affection for the old dragon in Mianxi." Lu Minzhang, a villager from Zhengjie Village, an eastern community, said that in recent years, the appearance of the village has undergone great changes, and Heyang Village has retained old monuments such as the Sanyan Bridge, and the landscape of the river and both sides of the river has become more beautiful.

According to local villagers, the Guicheng East District Community Dragon Boat Race will be held on June 9, and the Heyang Village team will participate, and the old dragon of Sanshan Mianxi will also hold a "dragon swimming" ceremony on the river.
