The 2024 Shenzhen Guanlan River Dragon Boat Race is scheduled to be held from June 1 to 3 at the Guanlan River in Longhua District (the section from the District Party Committee and District Government Bridge to the People's Bridge). At that time, the dragon boat professional teams from major cities at home and abroad, as well as the representative teams from communities, government agencies, enterprises and institutions in Shenzhen, will bring a wonderful water competition to the public.

In Longhua, the custom of dragon boat racing has a long history. The Guanlan River Dragon Boat Race is a large-scale mass cultural and sports event held by Longhua District during the Dragon Boat Festival in previous years, which has been successfully held for 9 sessions, and won the title of "Top Ten Local Brand Events in Shenzhen" in 2017. The theme of this year's event is "Hundreds of Races, Striving for Longhua", with a strong lineup, highlighting the coexistence of mass, professionalism and internationality.

A total of 66 teams and thousands of athletes will stage "Fast and Furious" on the banks of the Guanlan River, which is known as the "most beautiful river in Shenzhen", and two women's teams will compete with the men's team this year.
Among them, the open group is expected to invite 16 domestic and foreign dragon boat professional teams from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, Hunan, Jiangxi and Malaysia to participate in the competition. The community group and the government enterprise group attracted a total of 50 local teams from various community workstations, government agencies, institutions and enterprise teams in Shenzhen.
