It is understood that Metro Line 12 is one of the "X" shaped diagonal lines in Guangzhou, which is the backbone line of the northwest-southeast direction, starting from Xunfenggang in the west, reaching the south of the university town in the east, connecting Guangzhou Baiyun Station in series, and transferring with Line 6 and Line 10 (under construction) in East Lake. The line undertakes the traffic connection between the five major groups of Baiyun District, Yuexiu District, Haizhu District, Huangpu District and Panyu District, which will effectively alleviate the traffic pressure in the central area and fill the rail transit gap in the southwest of Baiyun District, Ersha Island and the east of Haizhu District. Metro Line 12 is the first subway line (excluding APM line) designed according to fully autonomous driving in Guangzhou Metro, and the depot is divided into autonomous driving area (no man's land) and manual driving area (manned area). Up to now, 81% of the civil works of Metro Line 12 have been completed; Among the 25 stations, 20 main structures have been capped, and 5 are under civil construction; Among the 24 sections, 18 sections are connected, 5 are for civil construction, and the remaining 1 is for pre-construction preparation; The entry and exit section lines have been penetrated; A total of 11 TBMs are in progress; The remaining mechanical and electrical works will be carried out at the Chatou depot; M&E construction was carried out at all 15 stations on the line.
