"I am glad to have the opportunity to welcome Yelena Zelenskaya, the wife of the President of Ukraine," Tamara wrote alongside the photo, "and she gave me a warm welcome when I visited Kyiv last September and attended the 3rd First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit. Today we visited Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park together. We took part in a demonstration of the audio guide, which has been available in Ukrainian since April of this year. ”
According to reports, this is the first time that the 46-year-old has visited Serbia since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and her main destination is Belgrade. After visiting the medieval fortress, she also traveled to the University of Belgrade, where she attended the signing of a cooperation agreement with Kyiv University.
Accompanied by assistants, the two men went to the "Roman Hall" of the Belgrade City Library and a special area known as the "Ukrainian Bookshelves", where a large number of Ukrainian books are stored.
Although Serbia has refused to join international sanctions against Russia, it has maintained relatively good relations with Ukraine since the conflict.
Aleksandar Vučić, the president of Serbia, has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky three times during international forums abroad, most recently at a regional meeting in Tirana at the end of February this year. In addition, Serbia has taken in thousands of Ukrainian refugees since the beginning of the conflict and has pledged to help the country demine and rebuild after the war.
The two first ladies of the same age seemed to be in a good mood as they walked side by side, and they seemed eager to talk while walking.
Yelena is better known than Tamara, after all, she has often appeared on the international stage after the conflict began, telling about the hardships and suffering of her people. After more than 2 years of "exercise", Yelena, who was already very adaptable to the spotlight, is more comfortable with the public.
However, Tamara is not stage frightened next to Yelena, and not only that, but Mrs. Vučić, with her curly black hair, seems to have a better temperament, which is most likely related to her diplomatic work for more than 10 years.
The 42-year-old is a graduate of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade and has worked as a television journalist, but her main career has been in the diplomatic field, having worked for many years at the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she speaks English and French in addition to her native language.
Yelena also played the role of a "tester" during her visit to the fortress, listening to the Ukrainian-speaking guide coming out of the hand-held machine.
Judging from the photos taken inadvertently, the angular Tamara on her face looks very dignified.
Tamara is Vucic's second wife, and the couple currently have one child, a 6-year-old boy, Vukan.
