Perhaps the first thing that comes to everyone's mind is the Hulunbuir Grassland, but I want to talk about the famous Zoige Grassland, which is second only to the Hulunbuir Grassland, a dazzling and unique gem on the western Sichuan Plateau, and the "Ger Grassland" that people often say also refers to here. Zoige grassland is the most beautiful wetland in China, enjoying the reputation of "China's most beautiful alpine wetland grassland" and "the hometown of China's black-necked crane", and is known as "the oasis of the northwestern Sichuan plateau" and "cloud paradise".
The area of the Ruoergai grassland is very large, and it is not a scenic area but a large area. In a broad sense, the entire grassland covers an area of about 53,000 square kilometers, including Ruoergai, Hongyuan, Aba and Songpan in Sichuan Province, Maqu and Luqu in Gansu Province, and Jiuzhi in Qinghai Province. Generally, the Ruoergai grassland we go to when we travel is the Ruoergai grassland in a narrow sense, that is, the "Ruoergai grassland" entered during navigation, which is around Aba Ruoergai County, Sichuan.
At an altitude of 3,500 meters, it is still a little cold before June, and the best tourist season is from July to August. Here, the warbler flies and the grass grows, there are beautiful wetlands, seas, and flowers in full bloom, which is beautiful. The main attractions of the Zoige grassland are:
Flower Lake: The largest lake in the Ruoergai grassland, the lake water is clear, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, the scenery is picturesque, like the "emerald" inlaid in Ruoergai. Summer is the best season to visit the Flower Lake, the wooden plank road connects the endless grassland and marshland, on both sides is the vast lake surface and dense aquatic grass, the beauty of no dead ends!
Gerba Grassland: The most typical grassland landscape on the Ruoergai grassland, with vast pastures and herds of cattle and sheep.
Songpan Grassland: One of the most famous grasslands in the Zoige Grassland, known for its beautiful natural scenery.
Red Plains Grassland: One of the most famous grasslands in the Ruoergai grassland, known for its rich history and culture.
The first bay of the Yellow River: The Yellow River forms nine bends and eighteen bends on the Ruoergai grassland, and the scenery is spectacular.
There is also a lesser-known scenic spot recommended by local herders, called "Cliff Scenic Spot". It is said that it is like reaching the end of the road, the cliff is in front of you, and the occasional cliff wedding is held there.

For this place, there are two places that meet the requirements: one is the Namo Grand Canyon, located in the north of Ruoergai County, 90 kilometers away from the county seat, and is famous for its pine and cypress, flowers and green fields with red walls and green tiles, and red rock cliffs. One is the Zasag Grand Canyon, located in the northeast of Zoige County, which is a landscape of alpine canyons dominated by metamorphic volcanic rocks, and is praised by travelers as a "hidden paradise". It has steep and majestic mountain cliffs and the wild beauty of the first blooming of heaven and earth.

I don't know if there are any places recommended by the herdsman in these two places, and sure enough, you still have to ask the locals to find unexpected surprises!

Note: In summer, the plateau has a large temperature difference between morning and evening, and it is very hot during the day and cold at night, so remember to prepare a few thick coats for cold protection at night.
