Huanxian County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province has a rich cultural heritage, majestic natural scenery, all the landforms outside the ocean, and thousands of years of colorful history and culture, which is an important channel for foreign exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations, and has the reputation of "China's Sheep Valley" and "China's Shadow Puppet Township". "Huanxian County is located at 37 degrees north latitude, known as the 'golden line' and 'cornucopia', since ancient times, it is rich in famous and high-quality grains such as buckwheat, and local livestock breeds such as Tan sheep in Huanxian County are well preserved, creating a business card of 'China's small grain township' and 'Gansu Province' grass and animal husbandry industry county." Yang Tianyi, deputy secretary of the Huanxian County Party Committee and county magistrate, introduced that Huanxian County is rich in natural gas, oil, coal and other mineral resources, and the total development scale of wind and solar new energy is 15.9 million kilowatts. At present, there are still more than 22 million tons of coal mines and 5 million kilowatts of wind and solar resources to be developed in Huanxian County, and there is huge room for the development of chain cooperation.
It is reported that in 2023, the number of sheep raised in Huanxian County will reach 3.69 million, and the per capita income of farmers from the grass sheep industry will reach 8,000 yuan, which is one of the two sheep industry counties among the 63 typical counties of the whole agricultural industry chain in the country, and one of the 100 agricultural modernization demonstration areas in the country. In recent years, the party committee and government of Huanxian County and local enterprises have attached great importance to the promotion of the "Huanxian Lamb" brand, combining the characteristic and advantageous industries with the long history, culture and geography of the region, creating "China's Sheep Valley, Shanmei Huanzhou", and stimulating the driving force for the development of industrial brands. At the 2023 World Brand Moganshan Conference, the regional brand of "Huanxian Lamb" geographical indication products won the 67th place in the top 100 national regional brands.
"The Huanxian brand display is a comprehensive platform system, which has both a good industry and a large commodity system, as well as a comprehensive brand information represented by derivative cultural products such as shadow puppetry, which is very useful for the creation of regional public brands of agricultural products." Wang Xin, vice president of the National Advertising Research Institute, suggested at the promotion event that Huanxian County can continue to make efforts to improve the degree of brand standardization, highlight and amplify the differentiation of the brand and realize the high-end of the brand.
