It is planned that the southern extension of the Jiamin Line to the Maqiao area is relatively stable, and it is recommended that the southern extension of the Jiamin Line to Maqiao be included in the fourth-phase construction plan.

According to the approved "Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Land Space Medium and Short-term Plan", the southern extension of the Jiamin Line extends from the Yindu Road Station of the Jiamin Line to the south and connects to the Jinshan Branch Line. The intermediate plan is to set up a station in Maqiao.

In the future, the Jiamin line will also be extended north to Taicang.
