I don't feel that spring has passed, and summer has begun in a blink of an eye. Since the beginning of May, the school-based teaching and research activities of the Mathematics Department of our school have been in full swing.
The first lesson is "Understanding Triangles" taught by teacher Chen Honghong in the second volume of the fourth grade. Ms. Chen's classroom teaching starts from the children's previous experience, allowing the children to recall and describe the triangles in real life, and timely dialing and guidance, combined with hands-on operation to perceive the same essence of different triangles, so as to help students abstract the concept of triangles. After the students had an accurate understanding of the concept of triangles, Mr. Chen borrowed the "herringbone beam" in architecture to draw out the height of triangles, and guided students to clarify the concept of triangle height through independent learning, discussion and communication. Finally, in the "Drawing Height" session, Mr. Chen guided the students to compare the drawing height with the method of "drawing the perpendicular line of the known straight line a little outside the straight line" that he had learned before, so as to establish the connection between the old and new knowledge and experience the consistency of the method. The whole teaching process of this class always revolves around the teaching objectives, with clear levels and compact links, guiding students to achieve knowledge acquisition and ability cultivation through observation, analysis, hands-on practice, independent exploration, cooperation and exchange.
The second class is the second volume of the first grade "Understanding the Renminbi" taught by Ms. Wang Xia. Understanding the renminbi is a prerequisite for using the renminbi. In the class, Mr. Wang first led the children to carefully observe and identify the RMB in different denominations, and learned the knowledge of RMB exchange. After getting to know the RMB, the children sorted the messy RMB learning tools in their hands according to the teacher's requirements. Some of them are classified according to the unit of RMB, some are classified according to the material of RMB, and some are classified according to the numbers on RMB, and the children actively think and express themselves. Immediately afterwards, Mr. Wang designed the situational activity of "I will use money to buy things". The children were eager to try, and with the price of the item being revealed, they used their brains to challenge different ways to buy the same product, and initially accumulated shopping experience. Mr. Wang's class really allows students to learn mathematics and find mathematics in their lives, and realize that mathematics is in our lives, which also improves students' interest and confidence in learning mathematics. I believe that this kind of classroom practice can help children better use and care for the RMB in their lives.
In the course evaluation session, the two teachers took the lead in talking about their feelings and confusion after teaching, and the teachers who attended the class also expressed their thoughts on the two classes. This school-based training activity not only demonstrated the determination and confidence of all teachers in the mathematics group to continuously explore student-centered and implement the "living" classroom, but also gave us more expectations for a more efficient and powerful mathematics classroom.
