Introduction to Art
Zhang Xinyuan (1963.5.20—), also known as Zhang Zhixiang, alias Weihu Jushi, is a native of Anyang, Henan. He is a member of the International Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association in Hong Kong, China, the vice president of the Huaxia Cultural Academy surnamed Zhang, the executive director of the Chinese Artists Federation, the deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Leading Cadres Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, the deputy director of the Art Committee of the Central Plains Calligraphy and Painting Alliance, and the director of the China Branch of the United Nations Calligraphers and Painters Association. He is the first person in China to write cursive with a 100-meter-long scroll, and was named a leading figure in contemporary art in 2020.
