According to Hurun Report's research, "safety" has surpassed "growth" and has become the most important investment and financial goal for China's high-net-worth individuals for two consecutive years. Compared with stocks and other financial instruments, fancy colored diamonds, which have investment advantages such as portability, privacy, growth value and wealth inheritance, have gained widespread attention in recent years, and are gradually regarded as alternative assets that are different from general financial investments into investment portfolios, and have become an important role for high-net-worth individuals to optimize their family "asset allocation".
Natural pink diamonds are very rare and precious among the earth's treasures. About 90% of the world's pink diamonds come from the Argyle diamond mining region in Western Australia, and with the closure of the Argyle mine in 2020, production has plummeted. According to GIA, only 0.001% of the millions of diamonds mined each year are natural pink diamonds, and only a handful of them reach Fancy Intense and Fancy Vivid grades.
GIA has analyzed more than 90,000 pink diamonds identified, and only 2% of them weigh more than 5 carats. Pear-shaped pink diamonds over 15 carats are rarely seen at auction, even at auction.
In this year's spring auctions, China Guardian proudly presents a 15.60 carat fancy pink diamond, which is not only large, but also one of the very few pink diamonds graded by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as Type IIa, and less than 2% of gem-quality diamonds in the world belong to this category. Expertly cut, this gem is pure and beautiful, with a breathtaking sparkle of fire.

Known as "Hong Kong's most storyteller" and "stock market sniper", Mr. Lau Luen Hung has a return on investment of about 50-300 times the number of jewels and diamonds in his collection of various artworks. In 15 years, he invested 590 million yuan to buy blue diamonds and pink diamonds for his daughter. When it comes to investing in jewelry collections, he said: This is not only a way to express love for his daughter, but also to give jewelry as an investment item to his daughter.
He admits that it was a coincidence that art was managed as an investment. When I first bought it, I thought it didn't matter, as long as it was good, beautiful, and happy. Now it's scary to find out that these things are worth literating. ”
According to the Colored Diamond Research Foundation (FCRF) for the period 2005-2023, the price index of pink, blue, yellow and white diamonds of all sizes and colors shows that pink diamonds have increased by a staggering 398.4%, with an average annual increase of 8.8%, which is the highest average increase among all colored diamonds.

In addition, Guardian Jewellery also found a Fancy Vivid yellow diamond weighing 20.08 carats for the collector. As a color of beauty and glory, yellow is also associated with gold and wealth, warmth and energy. This bright color comes from the structure of carbon crystals permeated with nitrogen.

Color saturation is the most important factor in determining the value of a colored diamond. Grades are based on the GIA's color grading criteria: from Fancy Light, Fancy, Fancy Intense, Fancy Vivid, to Fancy Deep. The Fancy Vivid grade is for the rarest and most saturated diamonds of all shades. Of the 24,000 yellow diamonds reported by GIA, only 6 percent reached Fancy Vivid and only 5 percent were over 10 carats.

RMB: 11,500,000-12,500,000
The 20.08-carat yellow diamond brought to you by Guardian in this spring boutique exhibition has reached the Fancy Vivid level, which is also the color grade with the highest number of colored diamonds sold in the auction. At the same time, this Fancy Vivid yellow diamond has an extremely fine cut and polish, which indicates that it has been carved into each facet by a skilled master cutter, so that the light can perfectly enter and reflect the diamond, igniting the diamond's brilliance while retaining the diamond's intoxicating honey-like golden color.
