Many people only pay attention to Huawei Pura70 to move to overseas markets, but I think that the significance behind this is very significant, that is, Huawei has completely solved the chip problem and is not afraid of being sanctioned, this is the key.
We know that the United States suppressed Huawei before and did not allow TSMC and other manufacturers to OEM chips for Huawei, unless they did not include American technology/equipment.
At the same time, all mobile phone chip manufacturers such as Qualcomm and MediaTek are not allowed to provide 5G chips to Huawei, as well as 5G RF chips, which cannot be provided to Huawei.
Therefore, Huawei's Kirin chip has become a swan song and cannot be foundry. Later, Huawei found Qualcomm to buy, and there was only a castrated version of the 4G chip, in this case, Huawei's mobile phone slowly shrank the overseas market, and basically only sold in China.
It wasn't until last year that Mate60 and Huawei finally had a new Kirin chip, which was still 5G, and it also solved the problems of 5G RF chips and relaunched 5G mobile phones.
But last year, it was obvious that the supply chain could not keep up, mobile phones were hard to find, and at the same time, it was said that the chip production capacity was not large, which could not meet Huawei's needs, so Mate60 was not sold in large quantities overseas.
However, such a Pura70 is not only sold in China, but also pre-sold in Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, as well as in Europe and other countries, which means that Huawei's supply chain problem has been solved, and the chip problem has been completely solved.
This supply chain problem, including chip foundry problems, 5G RF chips, 5G baseband chips, etc., only by solving these problems, Huawei can sell overseas and no longer be afraid of being suppressed.
The next question is, since chips are not a problem, and other supply chains are not problems, when will Huawei return to the top three in the world, or even become the world's No. 1?
