2. Introduction of the research group

The Department of Materials Science and Technology, The Ohio State University, USA, is recruiting postdoctoral fellows/doctoral students in the field of flexible electronics (Fall 2024 intake)

Dr. Jinghua Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. The research group is committed to the research of thin film materials and semiconductors, and their applications in the fields of medical and neuroscience. At present, the research group includes the following research directions: 1) controllable chemical synthesis and characterization of low-dimensional semiconductor materials, as well as the sensing and detection of biomolecules, 2) bio-material interface chemistry, control of surface morphology of polymers and ceramic materials, and interaction mechanism between biomolecules and thin film materials, 3) design, development and integration of implantable and wearable biological devices, and their applications in biomedicine, brain-computer interface and rehabilitation therapy.

3. Doctoral application requirements

Physically and mentally healthy, with good learning and research habits and a sense of teamwork.

He has a background in chemistry, electronic engineering, materials science, and biomedical engineering. He is familiar with the synthesis and characterization of low-dimensional materials and the preparation of micro-nano devices. Master's degree candidates are preferred, and outstanding undergraduate graduates are welcome to apply.

4. Postdoctoral Requirements:

Physically and mentally healthy, with good learning and research habits and a sense of teamwork.

Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, experience in semiconductor materials, flexible electronics and sensors is preferred.

Good English writing and communication skills.
