The reason why BYD, Great Wall, Geely, Chery, Changan and other brands can get nearly half of the market share from the hands of joint venture cars is that the vehicles they create can always be tens of thousands of yuan or even tens of thousands of yuan lower than the joint venture cars of the same level. Take Leap C01 as an example, the car is a medium and large sedan, providing rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive two series of options, and there are two series of extended range and pure electric; it not only has sufficient space, rich configuration, but also has a good sense of handling and good performance, but its starting price has been less than 140,000 yuan.
C10 is a new mid-size SUV recently launched by Leapmotor, using a rear-mounted rear-wheel drive system, and there are also two series of extended range and pure electric; and the starting price of this car is as low as 120,000 levels, and the low-configuration version uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 automotive-grade chips, and all other versions use 8295 chips with multiple performance improvements!
The car is currently the only smart car with standard lidar within 200,000 yuan, and the cockpit experience is also quite good.
Leap C16 is defined as a medium-sized car but the size basically meets the standard of medium and large cars, the drive system is the same as C10, the pre-sale price is currently only confirmed for one version, the price is 200,000 yuan, sources said that the price of the flagship version of the car will be less than 200,000 yuan, so it will be the benchmark for the comprehensive performance price ratio in the same class of cars.
This is Leapmotor, which looks like BYD ten years ago, and its product power is at its peak.
However, it is believed that Leapmotor will always adhere to the cost-effective product line, because its focus is on overseas markets, and the second largest European automaker, Stellantis Group* (a group company formed by the merger of Fiat Chrysler and PSA Peugeot Citroen), has taken a stake in Leapmotor and is building European factories and sales channels. The strategic focus of Leapmotor is the European and American markets, and its products for the local market can naturally be "fed", and the products of this car company are naturally more worthy of attention.
