Sony to remove Horizon: Zero Dawn from the PS Plus game catalog

Sony is removing the full edition of Horizon Zero Dawn from the PlayStation Plus game catalog this month.

While the PS4 game is currently available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members, according to its PlayStation Store listing, the game will be discontinued on May 21. On the same day, another 25 games will also be out of service, including 6 Final Fantasy games.

According to Sony, the imminent removal of Horizon Zero Dawn is noteworthy because it is a first-party game and has already sold more than 20 million copies on PS4 and PC.

According to Push Square, the last time a game published by Sony left the game catalog was in May 2023 when Spider-Man was removed, which the platform owner called part of a "normal content refresh." It was removed from PlayStation Plus five months before the release of the PS5 sequel, Spider-Man 2.

It is claimed that the new version of Horizon: Zero Dawn will add improvements to the game itself, such as accessibility features, graphics mode, and more.
