Cheuk pointed out that the catering industry is one of the pillars of Hong Kong's economy, and when Hong Kong's catering industry is faced with the boom of "northbound consumption", it must continue to improve itself, because "a good place does not worry about no customers". Cheuk believes that "going north to consume" requires costs such as time and transportation, while local restaurants in Hong Kong have a customer source advantage. Cheuk encouraged his staff to do a good job in service and production, without worrying about the business and prospects of Hong Kong's catering industry.

Influenza superimposed on the new crown Experts call on children to take precautions

Hong Kong's Department of Health announced yesterday (April 30) that seasonal influenza activity remains high and will continue for several weeks. Among the many cases of influenza in this round, there are many severe cases of infection in children. Ye Pak-keung, a clinical professor at the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Sciences at the University of Hong Kong, said in a radio program today (1st) that because of the recent resurgence of seasonal influenza and the new crown, if infected at the same time, the virus will be greatly more lethal, and he called on high-risk groups, especially children, to get vaccinated as soon as possible and do a good job of personal protection.

Yip Pak-keung pointed out that the number of children with serious complications caused by influenza infection has increased this year, and there has also been a significant increase compared with the pre-epidemic period. Since there was no flu outbreak during the new crown period, and the anti-epidemic measures also reduced the activity of children, their immunity and antibodies to the flu have changed compared to before. In the event of an influenza outbreak, children lack immunity, and if they do not receive a proper influenza vaccine, they are prone to serious complications after infection, including pneumonia and pulmonary hydrops. In addition, the incidence of death from influenza in children is also related to ethnic and genetic factors. In the past, severe influenza encephalopathy such as necrotizing encephalitis has been found in children in East Asia, such as the Mainland and Hong Kong, and such cases are relatively more common than those of other ethnic groups.

Ye Baiqiang continued to point out that the continuation of this flu outbreak will be further strengthened, and there will be a strong continuation trend in the next few weeks and even into June, before the next flu outbreak. Yip Pak Keung urged parents to seek medical attention as soon as possible if their children are infected with influenza and have persistent high fever, vomiting, confusion and unconsciousness.
