According to Milan Sport, the French midfielder's mother, Veronica, met with Juventus last weekend to assess the possibility of a contract extension, amid Bayern Munich's interest in Rabiot.

Rabiot's contract extension with the Bianconeri progressed last summer, and he ended up extending his contract with the club for a year on 27 June, just three days away.

Rabiot has only signed a one-year contract with Juventus, with an annual salary of 7.5 million euros. Now that the Frenchman has only two months left on his contract, the 29-year-old Rabiot needs to make a decision sooner rather than later.

According to the 7th edition of Sport on Tuesday, Rabiot's mother, Veronica, met with Juventus sporting director Giuntoli ahead of the match against Milan to continue discussions about a possible contract extension.

Juve have yet to make a concrete offer and they want Rabiot to take the first step in the negotiations. The club does not want to pay Rabiot an annual salary of €7.5 million for years to come, while the French midfielder has no intention of accepting another short-term contract.

Now, nothing is yet to be closed, with Bayern Munich keeping a close eye on Rabiot's situation and they are interested in signing the France international on a free offer this summer.

According to Sport, Juventus have contacted Paris Saint-Germain with interest in signing Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte on loan this summer.

Rabiot and McKennie are both likely to leave at the end of the season, with the Bianconeri looking for midfield reinforcements. The Frenchman's contract expires in June, while McKennie's contract expires in 2025 and the American has yet to reach an agreement with the club to renew his contract.

According to Sport, Uruguay international Ugarte has been targeted by the Bianconeri and club director Giuntoli has contacted PSG.

Ugarte, who joined PSG from Sporting last summer for €60 million, has made few appearances in the French capital this season, making 23 appearances in Ligue 1 and providing three assists.

According to the newspaper Sport, Paris are unlikely to receive such high offers from any club, including Juventus, this summer, so the loan out of Ugarte suits all parties. Temporary loan spells are also beneficial for Juventus, as they can put money into the likes of Koopmeiners, Samardzic, Zubimendi or Merino.

According to Torino Sport, Udinese will sell Samardzic at a reduced price if they are unfortunate enough to be relegated from Serie A, with Juventus sporting director Giuntoli preparing for the move to beat Brighton and Borussia Dortmund to sign the 22-year-old Serbian midfielder.

Samardzic has been one of the few bright spots for Udinese this season, contributing four goals and two assists in 30 league appearances, but the club are still mired in relegation in Serie A.

Udinese are currently 18th in the standings with four league games remaining, making relegation increasingly likely. After the departure scandals with Inter Milan and Napoli over the past year, it seems that Samardzic may really move away from Friuli this summer.

According to Torino Sport, Udinese will be forced to lower their €25 million price tag for Samardzic once they are relegated, creating a greater possibility of a transfer for clubs interested in him.

With Napoli, Borussia Dortmund and Brighton all interested in Samardzic, Juve are keen to finalise his move as soon as possible, considering a loan move to the Serbian midfielder with a mandatory buy-out clause and possibly adding Nicolusi Kaviglia to a deal worth around €15 million to €16 million.
