On April 22, the website of the Shanghai Municipal Government announced the "Investigation Report on the Large Explosion Accident of the "9.14" Intermediate Purification Box of Shanghai Lingang Hanbang Technology Co., Ltd.
After investigation, it was found that at the time of the accident, the operator used water to humidify the aluminum alloy powder, which led to the aggravation of the reaction, causing the ignition and explosion of the residual aluminum alloy dust, and then causing the explosive mixture composed of hydrogen, air, and aluminum and magnesium dust to explode violently.
