The bull countdown socket adopts a white shell of PC fireproof material, which is light and compact as a whole, and has its own pin design, which is quite portable or used in different scenes.

Bull countdown socket dismantling

Start by prying open the receptacle housing along the housing seams.
Inside the housing is a PCBA module.
The three-pin prongs are soldered to the PCBA module and are fixed with screws in the middle.

The front of the countdown socket PCBA module is at a glance, and the upper part is welded to the small board of the indicator light, and there is a slide switch to select the working mode below the small board. The lower middle is the socket module, the left side is the button switch for setting the time, and the right side is equipped with filter capacitor, filter inductor and step-down inductor. There is a relay at the bottom for power supply control.

The step-down power supply chip comes from BPS Jingfeng Mingyuan, model BP8523D, is an ultra-high integration of switching power supply chip, the chip integrates 650V high-voltage MOS tube, integrated high-voltage start-up and self-power supply circuit, integrated VCC capacitor, freewheeling diode and feedback circuit, fixed 5V output.
Jingfeng Mingyuan BP8523D has a standby power consumption of less than 50mW under 230Vac input, and the chip adopts advanced control technology, which can achieve excellent constant voltage output characteristics without the need for external VCC capacitors and loop compensation devices, and the peripheral components are very simple, saving system cost and volume, and improving reliability.
BP8523D adopts PWM/PFM multi-mode control technology, which effectively reduces system standby power consumption, improves conversion efficiency and improves dynamic performance, while reducing light-load audio noise. The chip has complete protection functions, including output short-circuit protection, output overload protection, output over-voltage protection, cycle-by-cycle over-current protection, over-temperature protection, etc., and adopts SOP-7 package.
