The Chang'e-6 probe, which will be launched by the mainland, is a Long March 5 Yao-8 carrier rocket, which is the rocket with the strongest carrying capacity in service developed by the mainland, with a take-off weight of about 877 tons and a take-off thrust of 1,068 tons.
According to official information, this engine will be used in the Long March 10 heavy launch vehicle, the rocket for the landing of people on the continent, to send the lunar lander and the lunar spacecraft into the Earth-Moon transfer orbit. The total length of the arrow is about 88.5 meters, the take-off mass is about 2187 tons, the take-off thrust is about 2678 tons, the take-off thrust ratio is 1.22, and the carrying capacity of the Earth-Moon transfer orbit is not less than 27 tons.
This engine ignition test, which has the largest thrust and the most complex system in the history of the development of liquid power in the mainland, marks a solid step in the research and development of the Long March 9 heavy-lift launch vehicle in the mainland!
