In order to give full play to the role of the self-improvement and fitness demonstration site for the disabled in promoting the participation of disabled people in sports, rehabilitation and fitness, and integration into society, on April 26, Bancang Community, Weiping Street, Yantan New Town, and IKEA Pro-Social Service Center of Yantan District, Zigong City, launched the 2024 spring outdoor fitness activity for the disabled in Yuanshan Park.
It is understood that the Itakura community fully considers the actual situation of the disabled, closely focuses on safety and fun, and strictly follows the "four haves" standards and requirements of "having activity venues, cultural and sports equipment, professional guidance, and activity planning", and sets up three game projects: frog diving, blind football, and chopsticks and marbles, attracting more than 30 disabled people to sign up for the event, and setting up corresponding prizes.
Before the start of the activity, the sports instructor gave guidance and explanation on the operation methods of the activity and the precautions for outdoor sports. During the activity, everyone was enthusiastic and actively participated, comparing patience, carefulness and competition, fully demonstrating the spirit of self-improvement and self-esteem, self-confidence and self-reliance of the disabled. In the chopsticks pinball activity, everyone in two by two, the soybeans contained in the plate with chopsticks clamped into the 0.2 meter empty plate, at the beginning, we can not find the trick, often drop soybeans in the middle, as the game process accelerates, more and more players find skills, the results are getting better and better.

After the event, the community staff led everyone to carry out a walking tour of the park. In the next step, Xincheng Weiping will continue to build a service platform, do a good job in ensuring services for the disabled, vigorously carry out various forms of cultural activities to help the disabled, and guide and encourage more disabled people to go out of their homes, participate in activities and integrate into society.
