Recently, at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, the Geely Galaxy Starship prototype was officially unveiled, and many elements of the new car can be seen to be still in the concept stage, and there is a certain distance from the final mass production.
In terms of appearance, the front part of the new car continues the design concept of catering to the family, and it seems to seal the nose panel inside the hidden dot array of lamp beads, showing an excellent sense of technology. The flat headlight clusters are connected by a continuous light strip above, further enhanced by a trapezoidal lower grille and curved fog lamp area air intakes below. On the side of the body, the standard large-size SUV line is visible to the naked eye more than 5 meters, the thick window chrome decoration, the straight window line and waistline, the straight roof, the relatively vertical D-pillar and other elements will not be absent, with the large pneumatic wheels, it looks like the identity of the flagship model.
However, the actual car performance does not seem to be as large as the M9 and the like, and it is still relatively restrained. The biggest highlight is the door design, the upper part of the window can be opened separately, and the lower part is a door-opening design, which is a bit too exaggerated in the positioning of the Galaxy brand, and it should not be finally mass-produced. At the rear, the continuous taillights are of course not absent, and they are complemented by a stout shape and a chrome strip. The trunk lid has a special shape with a rounded arc, a large spoiler on the roof, and a two-section special decoration on the rear bumper, which is very real and should not be absent on the production car.
There's no more information on the interior at the moment, except for a clear three-row seating layout, with the second-row seats being rotated at multiple angles. However, in the end, it should still be a more ordinary structure, focusing on space practicality. In terms of power, the new car claims to use the Galaxy 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive, AI digital chassis and other high-tech functions, but it is still that sentence, Geely Galaxy is not a high-end sequence, but a sequence transformed from the geometric brand of passenger cars, so there will be no particularly exaggerated configuration performance, no matter what, it can't escape the positioning of affordable walking, what kind of performance can it have, we can only wait and see.
