Doudian Town, which has set many wheat yield records per mu and is known as the "agricultural red flag", has become a "breakthrough" in Fangshan's industrial transformation.

In July 2011, the high-end manufacturing base approved by the Beijing Municipal Government settled in the Doudian Group in Fangshan District, and in January 2013, the base was included in the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone. As an important part of the transformation belt of scientific and technological innovation achievements in the south of the capital, the base has a planned area of 15.38 square kilometers, a key development area of 7.03 square kilometers, and a total construction scale of 5.334 million square meters.

It is understood that before the establishment of the base, Beijing and Fangshan District conducted a thorough investigation. The establishment of Beijing's high-end manufacturing base is to use Fangshan's industrial space to solve the pain points of enterprises and quickly gather high-tech projects. According to the "Opinions of the Beijing Municipal People's Government on Accelerating Scientific and Technological Innovation and Building a High-tech Economic Structure Land Use Policy", Fangshan District has successively built a total of about 230,000 square meters of R&D office and living supporting space and 134,300 square meters of standardized factory buildings in the first and second phases of the research institute in Beijing's high-end manufacturing base as a high-quality space carrier for undertaking the implementation of "high-precision" projects. It is worth mentioning that it is a key park in Fangshan District to build an intelligent manufacturing and networked vehicle industry cluster, and has the first 5G full coverage of autonomous vehicle test roads in China. Beijing Shihe Technology Co., Ltd. is a technology-based company specializing in the research and development of intelligent special robot products, and moved to Beijing high-end manufacturing base in 2020. Here, they have 1,600 square meters of office space and 4,000 square meters of factory buildings, just one road away. This convenience has greatly improved the communication efficiency between R&D and production, and also significantly improved the speed of product industrialization. "Our products are closely related to the site, and the R&D involves pilot test, small batch, and mass production, which requires space. In Fangshan, R&D and production can be connected. Xu Xin, marketing director of Shihe Technology, said for example, that the company's recently released exterior wall cleaning products are basically developed in the "front store", and the test wall is built in the "back factory", and the assembly and testing are completed. "In response to the concerns and needs faced by enterprises in terms of commuting distance, office space, living facilities, etc., we have built the institute into a 'community of scientists'. Ye Qiang, deputy director of the Zhongguancun Fangshan Park Management Committee, said that the 6.5-meter-high office space of the institute is flexibly matched, 40,000 square meters of serviced apartments solve the accommodation of employees, catering, swimming and fitness, cafes, laundry rooms, digital libraries, health and medical centers are complete, there are 14 free shuttle buses directly to the city, and Zhongguancun Development Group provides professional services for the whole life cycle of enterprises.

Ye Qiang said that the "front store and back factory" model allows enterprises to travel lightly and operate with light assets. It is reported that in order to further improve the industrial and supporting space functions of the Zhongguancun Emerging Industry Frontier Technology Research Institute, the third phase of the research institute has officially started construction recently. The project covers an area of about 40 acres, with a planned construction area of about 48,000 square meters, a planned investment of about 610 million yuan, and is expected to be completed in December 2024. After the completion of the project, the overall space area of the institute will reach 280,000 square meters, and the industrialization space of the institute will be more abundant, and the supporting functions such as R&D office, exhibition roadshow, accommodation and catering, and public services will be comprehensively improved.

Up to now, the base has settled in more than 100 enterprises such as Changan Automobile, Xinyuan Intelligent Storage, Jingxi Heavy Industries, BOE, Hangjing Innovation, UISEE Technology, Haibo Sichuang, etc., including 15 leading enterprises and 12 hidden champion enterprises, with a total industrial output value of more than 100 billion yuan and a cumulative tax payment of nearly 8 billion yuan.

In the extreme weather disaster in early August last year, Hangjing Innovation, a benchmark enterprise for the localization of large-load UAVs, has made a "great achievement" with its own trump card products. On the afternoon of August 4 last year, Hangjing Innovation received an urgent request for help from the Beijing Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, saying that there were more than 80 employees in an industrial park who were in urgent need of communication equipment, food, medical treatment and other materials. After receiving the order, the company organized FWH-1500 heavy-duty unmanned helicopter equipment, transport vehicles and crews, logistics support and other personnel to quickly arrive at the location of the trapped people.

Air Liquide is one of the world's largest suppliers of industrial and medical gases and related services. Oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and other gases are supplied to a wide range of industries. After the introduction of the group, Fangshan District will plan to jointly build a hydrogen energy supply guarantee base in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. By making full use of Yanshan Petrochemical's large number of high-quality industrial by-product hydrogen resources, combined with Air Liquide's core technology and management advantages, we will further expand the utilization scale of by-product hydrogen in Fangshan District, and help Fangshan District build an important hydrogen supply base covering the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Xinyuan Intelligent Storage is a new energy storage technology innovation and integrated application professional platform built by China Power Holdings, a subsidiary of the State Power Investment Corporation. In mid-November 2022, the 30,000-square-meter smart factory of Xinyuan Intelligent Storage Energy Engineering Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. was put into operation in Fangshan, with a planned annual production capacity of more than 4GWh (gigawatt hours). As of the end of March 2023, the total installed capacity of the Xinyuan Smart Storage Construction Project is nearly 2.5GWh (GWh). From January to April 2023, the shipment of energy storage systems of Xinyuan Intelligent Storage has entered the top three in the country.

It is understood that Yanshan Petrochemical is stepping up the construction of a 10,000 standard cubic meters / hour fuel cell hydrogen purification device, which can provide 20 tons of fuel cell hydrogen for Beijing every day after it is put into operation, which can meet the operation of 1,500 hydrogen fuel cell buses.
