1. Background of the program

As an important thermal power equipment in chemical industry, electric power, energy and other industrial production sites, the stable and efficient operation of the boiler is the guarantee of production efficiency. Due to the large number of boiler equipment in the factory and the scattered area, relying on traditional manual inspection is not only time-consuming and laborious, but also may lead to safety accidents due to human negligence.

The purpose of this paper is to provide an all-weather, all-round remote online monitoring system for industrial boilers based on Internet of Things technology, which can realize real-time monitoring, intelligent early warning and data analysis, effectively reduce labor costs, and improve boiler operation efficiency and safety.

Second, the scheme design

This solution consists of three layers: the perception layer, the network layer, and the platform layer.

1. Perception layer

Sensors or instruments such as temperature, pressure, water level, and flow meters are deployed in the boiler system to conduct real-time perception and monitoring of safety and economic data such as water temperature, water pressure, feed water flow, furnace pressure, and combustion parameters of boiler operation.

2. Network layer

The processing and forwarding of the data collected by the sensing layer is the core of the boiler monitoring system.

Select the XL906 IoT gateway to wirelessly read the monitoring data of each node in the perception layer, perform data processing and protocol conversion, and upload the data to the monitoring platform through Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and 4G communication.

3. Platform layer

Third, the benefits of the program

Improve energy efficiency: By analyzing the boiler operation data and adjusting the operating state, the boiler can be ensured to run in the best state and improve the efficiency of energy use;

Improve operational efficiency: The operation status of the boiler can be remotely grasped without the need for operation and maintenance personnel to visit the site, which reduces the time cost of running to the site and improves the operation efficiency.

Reduce maintenance costs: Different from the traditional regular inspection and maintenance methods, the monitoring system can grasp the actual status of the equipment, so as to achieve timely and reasonable maintenance, so as to reduce maintenance costs.
