Located in the western suburbs of Qionglai City, Daozuo Community, Linji Town, is a village settlement surrounded by mountains and rivers. In this vibrant season, the Thunder Bamboo Shoot Base in the Dosa community presents a lush scene, with tender green spring shoots breaking through the soil and growing vigorously. With this as the theme, the Linji Town Social Worker Station will inject new impetus into the development of the bamboo industry in the Dosa community and enhance the local economy by increasing added value. To this end, the social work station took the lead, linked local large-scale bamboo farmers and surrounding farmhouse owners, and organized a parent-child exploration activity with the theme of "bamboo shoot picking, bamboo shoot tasting, learning about bamboo shoots + charity". On April 20, 2024, 20 groups of families participated in this educational practice and experienced the charm of bamboo culture together.
"Fun" digging bamboo shoots
Under the careful organization of community workers, the children received professional bamboo shoot digging tools and stepped into the lush bamboo forest under the leadership of Xu Jinxiang, an experienced bamboo farmer. The elderly not only demonstrated the correct way to dig bamboo shoots on the spot, but also taught some basic knowledge about bamboo shoots to the children.

After a short break in the afternoon, each of the participating families carefully prepared donated materials, including rice, noodles, oil, milk and flour and other daily necessities, to express their love for the lonely and widowed elderly in Linji Town.
