Recently, the Xiuwen Court tried a case of gang theft of bees, and the defendants Lu Moumou, Yang Moumou, and Xia Moumou were sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment ranging from 10 months to three years and three months for committing the crime of theft, and were fined between 1,000 yuan and 4,000 yuan, and at the same time ordered the three to return a total of 7,749.31 yuan to the victims' economic losses.
From March to September 2023, Yang Moumou wanted to steal some bees to raise because he was greedy for bees fed by others, and the honey was used for his own consumption or for sale. So they invited Lu Moumou and Xia Moumou, who had a good relationship with him, to steal bees together, and went to the villages of Xiuwen and Baiyun many times, and stole the bees raised by the victim along with the beehives.
During this period, Yang Moumou also stole seven geese raised by the victim Sun Moumou and eight ducks raised by the victim Su Moumou. The three defendants divided the stolen bees and beehives and prepared to transport them home, but during the transportation, they fell down due to improper driving, causing two boxes of bees to fly away, and the rest of the bees were kept in their own yards, and some of the bees died or flew away due to improper breeding.
After arriving at the case, the three defendants truthfully confessed the facts of the crime of stealing bees and poultry, and the three stole a total of 32 boxes of bees, and the public security organs recovered and returned 27 boxes to the victims. During the course of the trial, the families of defendants Lu XX and Xia XX compensated some of the victims' economic losses on their behalf and obtained understanding. The Xiuwen court held at trial that the defendants Lu XX, Yang XX, and Xia XX secretly stole other people's property for the purpose of illegal possession, and among them, the defendant Yang XX alone or separately collaborated with the defendants Lu XX and The total value of the property stolen by Xia XX is 52,618.56 yuan, which is huge, the defendant Lu XX participated in the theft of property with a total value of 41,922.57 yuan, which is huge, and the defendant Xia XX participated in the theft of property with a total value of 9,062.68 yuan, which is relatively large, and the acts of the three defendants have constituted the crime of theft and should be punished in accordance with law.
