On April 22, the 9th Hawthorn Flower Season series of activities in Wenxi County opened in the 10,000-mu hawthorn base of Qilipo, Guojiazhuang Town. This is an important measure for Wenxi County to vigorously promote the integrated development of agriculture, culture and tourism, accelerate the promotion of high-quality economic and social development, and promote the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside.
The opening ceremony kicked off with the stirring gong and drum performance "Dragon and Tiger Leap". Du Lijie, Li Yuxian, Wang Feng and other seven hawthorn industry leaders took the stage together, with the ardent expectation of the hawthorn harvest and the pride of the wonderful butterfly changes in the land of Tongxiang, and jointly announced the opening of the event. Performances such as singing, pu opera, dance, Huayin old dialect, songs and other ingenious cultural performances enable tourists to enjoy the happy life of livable, workable and beautiful countryside in the new era while enjoying the sea of hawthorn flowers.
It is understood that this hawthorn season lasts from April 22 to April 26. The activity is based on the four major sections of "flowers, fields, joy and city", supplemented by four different colors corresponding, integrating the promotion of farming culture, Tongxiang characteristic culture and hawthorn characteristic professional towns, and adhering to the creative idea of "famous in ancient times and brilliant in new" to create colorful Wenxi. The "flower" section is: spring flowers bloom - the opening ceremony of the hawthorn flower season series of activities, the wonderful pen and flowers - the interactive area of the couplet culture, the sound of the flower sea qin - playing the piano under the flowers, playing the flute; the "field" plate is: Tian Lianqian Mo - the interactive display area of farming culture, seeing the dragon in the field - the dragon cultural knowledge display area, the field - the spring is coming to watch the experience area; the "happy" plate is: the joy of the festival experience area, the joy of the eyebrows - the hawthorn flower love and blind date activities, the "city" section is: the food market - Wenxi Food Street, Cultural Bazaar - Intangible Cultural Heritage Products Street, Tourism Bazaar - Rural Agricultural Knowledge Parent-Child Tour and Elderly Tour, Research Bazaar - Red Research Tour.
Wenxi County has a long history of hawthorn planting and is one of the core production areas of high-quality hawthorn that is famous throughout the country. Because of its high yield, excellent quality and rich in a variety of trace elements, "Qilipo hawthorn" won the "National Agricultural Products Geographical Indication" certification and was rated as "Shanxi Functional Agricultural Products". In recent years, the Wenxi County Party Committee and the county government have conscientiously implemented the work requirements of the province and city on cultivating and building characteristic professional towns and promoting the agglomeration and development of characteristic and advantageous industrial clusters, based on resource endowments and comparative advantages, focusing on Guojiazhuang Town, Qidi Town and Yangyu Town, building bases, strengthening leaders, creating brands, and promoting integration, planning to build hawthorn characteristic professional towns, and promoting "special" and "excellent" industrial chains, strong chains, and extended chains.
At present, the county's hawthorn planting area of 51,000 acres, with 16 hawthorn production and processing enterprises, 65 farmer cooperatives, with an annual output of 125 million kilograms and an annual processing capacity of 60 million kilograms, has initially formed an industrial chain integrating hawthorn production, processing, sales and sightseeing.
