Guyang Astragalus has the characteristics of positive color, sweet taste, dense quality, more sugar, sufficient powder, excellent quality, etc., among the important pharmacological components, the national standard of Astragalus IV is 0.08%, and the national standard of Astragalus calypranus isoflavone glucoside is 0.02%.
Since 2020, the Guyang County Party Committee and the county government have made every effort to build a 41° Guyang County regional public brand based on eight geographical indication certification trademarks, and then the "Guyang Eight Treasures" (eight landmarks) have quickly traveled all over the country. Guyang County actively implements the trademark brand strategy of Inner Mongolia and Baotou City, formulates and issues the "Guyang County Trademark and Brand Development Strategy Implementation Opinions" in a timely manner, establishes the Guyang County Intellectual Property Office to be fully responsible for the trademark brand work, registers the Guyang County Native Products Industry Association of Baotou City, assists in the implementation of the trademark brand work, and has successfully registered Guyang Astragalus, Guyang Wheat, Guyang Noodles, Guyang Buckwheat, Guyang Buckwheat Noodles, Guyang Red Wheat Noodles, Guyang Rapeseed Oil, Eight national geographical indication certification trademarks of Guyang sesame oil, Guyang astragalus, Guyang oats, Guyang potatoes, Guyang mutton, etc., have been certified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as geographical indications of agricultural products and the title of "National Famous and Excellent New Agricultural Products".
